So many years later and I still love every aspect of this film! My absolute favourite Baz Luhrmann film. Hands down. The sets bewitched me as a child and still do as an adult. The singing doesn't feel out of place or take you out of the drama. It just all feels right 🥰

Remember watching this film in the cinema back in September 2001….. it was just after 9/11 and such an awful depressing time in the world… watching this in the cinema at that time was magic and lifted the soul. I didn’t know what to expect but then Kylie appeared as the absinth fairy and you just fell into the story and amazing uplifting songs… A time never to be forgotten! Films just don’t do this to you these days!!😢
