Your Story: The KDF Field Barber, Stephen Makau

Ever wondered how officers in the Kenya Defence Forces remain neat even when on the war front, with their hair and beards always neatly kept even when miles away from civilization? In this edition of "your story" we reveal how the soldiers actually manage to do this in the most remote of places where social and basic amenities are not available. Judy Kosgei tells us the story of Stephen Mwenda Makau, a gunner with the Kenya Defence Forces but who doubles up as a volunteer barber, if only to make a soldier's life in the field neat and presentable.
