Surviving, your thinking isnt as strange as you think! Its great to hear someone so articulately voicing the very thoughts that so many of us had, until we could no longer CONSCIENTIOUSLY follow those creepers & scoundrels. Im reminded of sitting there at conventions, looking around at everyone else, & thinking "did you HEAR what he just said? Dont you get it?" I pointed it out to my family & they just shut down! Dead eyes, dead brains & completely unable to make a decision on something as simple as where to go for dinner. They relied on ME to get them there! And the Blood issue. They dont understand the blood components, so they just decide to refuse ALL of it, to be on the safe side! Its EASIER! Sacrificed their lives to "strangers" = human sacrifing cult. They dont notice that the men from god are quoting Hitler?! Wow! Love every minute of it! Thanks!

There are whole white blood cells in saliva, so I guess no kissing for married couples? Oh, JWs don’t mention that. _"It has been found that the best way to insure implicit obedience is to commence tyranny in the nursery."_ -Benjamin Disraeli, British Prime Minister The sick irony of WT's stance is this: allegedly, a 2 year-old has the mental capacity to enter a contract and make a lifelong commitment. But when that same child becomes 20, 30, 40 or more years old, and they decide to exit the WT because now they have experience, wisdom and intelligence, they are told they are "mentally diseased" and summarily disfellowshipped for using their intellect.

@futureofmoney3527 Жыл бұрын
You can do ANYTHING you like because you have been blessed with Jehovah-given free will, so long as you do EVERYTHING the JW org ask you to do, and do NONE of the things they forbid you to do. I remember saying something to my conductor (I was a bible student) that was expressed innocently and was not meant to offend, but was probably received as an insult: "I feel closer to God in a natural setting - like a forest - than I do in a Kingdom Hall". I said it wholeheartedly too, because I absolutely meant it. I said it openly and innocently, believing it would be well received. He replied with "you're actually rebelling against Jehovah when you say things like this, you are defying him". I didn't mean to insult him, I meant to simply say that nature itself (God's creation) helped me feel closer to God. It made sense in my head. However, I understood so much in that quick exchange. It was all about obeying the organization. How dare I feel closer to God outside the organization. In that moment, I felt that my relationship with Jehovah didn't matter to my conductor if it was outside the organization (they palm this off with "you simply can't have a relationship with Jehovah outside the organization"). You are not allowed an opinion that isn't lockstep with the organization. You are not allowed true free will. Because the organization is so rigid and inflexible, to say I feel closer to God in a natural setting than a Kingdom Hall is - in hindsight - a huge insult to a PIMI JW. I didn't insult Jehovah, though. I insulted their organization. It was a wake-up moment. I actually thought he'd understand my comment, and we'd talk about the beauty in God's creations etc. Nope. How dare I put God's own creation - nature itself - ahead of a meeting in a brightly-lit, plain interior with rigid protocols and zero breathing space for true expression. And here's the kicker for me: imagine if you have this brimming-over love for Jehovah, and you want to express it in a place of worship, a place where surely you could express that wonderful love. YOU CAN'T DO IT IN A KINGDOM HALL. You have to be restrained. We have to talk a certain way, don't we? You can't even properly express your love in your own unique way. It has to be through this bland filter of dubspeak. So much for free will.
