I don't know where that ATM is located, but you should report it. As an ATM installer and maintenance technician - that is completely illegal in all 50 states. You cannot autonomously shred someone's card. All ATM machines have a 'keeper' mechanism for people that a) enter the wrong pin too many times, or b) drive off and leave their card in the slot for more than 3 minutes with nobody taking it from the slot. All it does at that point is drop it into the return bin, along with any oddball bills it was unable to dispense or deposit due to whatever abnormality, etc. Including a time/date stamped record. That's it. No shredding mechanisms exist to install into ATMs. It's also why more and more of them are manual insert and remove swiper types these days... so people won't forget and leave their cards behind.

So many assume you lose card by losing your entire purse or wallet at once. I've lost cards just by dropping them in cracks, leaving them on tables. People lose them when they are using them and carrying them sometimes. I lost my master card and called the card company, but was able to continue using my visa or ATM that night and it helped a lot. Doesn't work if you lose your only card. I've also had cards frozen due to their mistake. I don't get why so many people don't realize backups can be useful even if you can deactivate the lost card.

Because on some phones it glitches, on others - there is no such thing, this card has barcode emulator and a magnetic bar (some stores don't have the touchnpay), some cards are limited on touch payment (ex. : 50$ max), sometimes you want to leave your phone in the car for the music for someone who is waiting for you,... I know you are all rebellious teenagers raging against the machine and all that jazz....However, there is just one piece of information you didn't quite clearly read on their web page. They don't store the information on the phone or the Fuze Company itself. All the card info is on the card itself backed up by your own personal 6 digit pin number that you input on the card itself, and it locks itself after 10 minutes or whatever amount of time you set it as. The App is used to just add cards and manage the security parameters of that card. Even the app itself has security. Research, educate yourself before it's too late.

No that wouldn't be possible, credit cards don't have barcodes, they have mag stripes, and even if you were to clone a card using this method, when you swiped the FUZE at a payment terminal you would still need to enter your pin code verification.

I backed up a very similar project called plastc card and i lost 250 USD because they couldn't get "enough" funds even do they raised and inexplicably spent 9 millions from backers and then just sent an email saying like thanks for your support but you won't get anything, we spent your money and we didn't accomplished anything. so i don't think is a good idea to back an other company with the same product and now that you can pay with your phone those cards just seem to by a lousy middle point in between switching from cards to phone payments.

The problem with this kind of all-in-one card is that they do not support EMV-chip credit cards. They only support the last-gen credit cards that swipe. Fuze Card claims that they are working with the banks to make their EMV chip functional. I won't get one until the chip works.
