25:27 I’m left with such an emotional charge after listening to this interview. I’ve been worried and focusing a lot on aging lately. Not about the number of my age, the fact that I haven’t lived fully and presently and done enough and learned enough and loved enough and helped enough. Dr Mate’s humble and experienced words will allow me to experience my true self and be open to see and feel the light life offers us. There’s so much more I want to share how I’m feeling at this present moment however I’ll leave it at this. Grateful I’m on this inner journey and thankful I have a few incredible mentors I follow who share their wisdom and authentic self. 🙏🏻

"The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the Universe, to match your nature with Nature." ~ Joseph Campbell "There is more to a person than meets the eye. We all have the faculty to discern spiritual qualities in the world. We can see honesty; we can see integrity; we can see beauty; we can see love; we can see goodness; we can see joy; we can see peace; we can see harmony; we can see intelligence; and so forth. None of these things has any form; none of these things can be imagined; none of these things is tangible, and yet they can be seen. What is the organ that sees these invisible things? Some people call it the soul, spirit, or consciousness. We are all spiritual beings, endowed with spiritual faculties of perception." ~ Thomas Hora "I carry meaning. I care for family. I care for society. I care for environment, all life. I care for their future. I cannot just live for I. I came to be, because of what came before. And thus, I am now, for what will be -- meaningfully." "Self-care is not selfish. One cannot serve from a broken plate." "What do I need now, is a self-care mantra, that answers your needs." "I have a physical body, a mental body, an emotional body, & an "external" body. Attend to that which needs strengthening. Adding strength to one, adds strength to all." "Our minds, emotions & culture, think we can consume & do anything, anytime... but Mother Nature, & our bodies, say otherwise." "While I can't control everything in life, I can control what I put into my body, and into the body of my life." "Consume with discretion. Create with discretion. Care with discretion. Command & collectedness.. is our Holy Grail." ~ Paul Jung

You mentioned aging, in a few short months I will be 70. The information presented here and other channels and sites let's me know that catching up may not be possible. I have layers of what has been done to me and the many years of what I have done to myself to plow through. The one thing that I understand is that there are no fixes for my maladjusted self. Yes I know it's about the journey but I don't see any solace in this direction without a destination. There is a fix for just about everything on earth except for humans. I find this ironic.

Very powerful. My son's death 5 years ago (he was 33 and hung himself) was in a way a gift. I know many will not understand. But it taught me to live. To love. To overcome many issues and find my inner writer. It taught me not to live from guilt but instead to find my authentic path. And I still talk to my son. He is with me still. Along with my Mom and Dad. My three angels. Guiding me with their loving kindness.

Your meaningful and honest message has definitely touched me. Finding the silver lining in such a painful situation requires immense strength. Your story of making use of your son's memory as inspiration to live genuinely and pursue your writing love is nothing short of remarkable. It symbolizes your strength and the profound love you have for your son and your parents. Your belief in keeping in touch with loved ones after they've died is an impressive testament to the continuous power of love. They are, indeed, your guiding angels, and their presence in your life, even in spirit, is proof of love that transcends time and distance. Thank you for sharing your experience because it reminds us all to treasure the precious moments we have and to find strength and purpose even in the face of unimaginable loss. Your comments are an inspiration, and I believe they will touch many people's hearts. During this path of love and self-discovery, I am sending you all my love and support. 💕🌟

Wow this really speaks to me. I used to have a lot of friends, lots of invites, big social life. But I started to suffer from clinical depression and had a breakdown and slowly lost most of them. They never contacted me to ask how I was. I realised that my breakdown was partly because I'd developed a 'popular persona' to fit in after childhood bullying. But it meant abandoning big parts of myself. Now I've returned to being my authentic self but it seems to make me unpopular. I'm an introvert who loves animals, painting, nature and gardening. I've been called weird a few times and ghosted a lot. I'd love to meet people who accepted me for who I am and vice versa rather than being told I'm 'doing it wrong' like a past friend told me.

Your comment resonated with me deeply, and I want you to know that you are not alone in feeling this way. It takes a lot of guts to be your true self, especially after dealing with issues like major depression and bullying. It's truly inspiring that you've pursued your true hobbies and passions, such as animals, painting, nature, and gardening. Remember that "weird" can often be just another term for "unique," and there's a lot of beauty in that. It's upsetting when people don't understand or appreciate your true self, but please know that there are good people out there who will accept you for who you are. I believe you will find the right kind of people who will accept and cherish you. Continue to pursue your passions and stay true to yourself, and you'll naturally attract people who share your values. Your journey for self-discovery is courageous and wonderful, and I wish you all the best on your search for meaningful connections. 💖🌻💕🤗💟

@@yourinnerchildmatters Thank you so much for your reply, it was really kind. I was thinking this week that maybe it's time I embraced my 'weirdness' in full and stopped trying to fit in and please certain types of people. I tried to do that before and it was exhausting. I really do hope I meet some more good like minded people, I'm v isolated at the moment and feel v disliked after being ghosted a lot. I'll keep going. I'm glad to have found your channel, keep up the good work.

@@katec9893Hello there, just passing by to say that amont the people I know and have met, those I had the most respect for were certainly among the socially unfit; Not for the sake of it because unacceptance of weird people is a valid automated behavior to keep fools at bay and I usually go by this credo at first, but among them are people with another existential relation to the real, whom have gone past rubbish concerns and with whom I like to talk, especially on deepers points. So if you're at peace with your weirdness and it doesn't harm people, then my advice would be to go by and not pretending against your aspirations to fit a less deviant path.

Sensitive label has become the new cut down, sadly. I’ve been called too sensitive a lot lately because I’m finally calling others out on their behavior. It just seems like the world is getting more hostile and people prefer the fake superficiality over reality. Covid helped me awaken to my potential and I chose a new path more independent entrepreneurship and it really pissed off my sister and my friends it really impacted me and they questioned my credibility and character….it really shocked me, they don’t pay my bills why do they care and I was wildly successful at my own business so they tried to destroy me. I can’t go back to doing work I don’t love I’m having to restart my business because my depression was so painful. I’m grateful for the video it helps validate what is happening and my real friends just want me to be happy.

I'm sorry to hear you've been suffering such difficulties, but it's inspirational to see how strong you've been and how you've made some wonderful adjustments in your life, especially during those difficult moments. Some people may not understand or support what you are doing, but remember that true friends will always be by your side and want to see you happy and successful. It might be difficult to be classified as "sensitive" when you're simply sticking up for what you believe in. However, it is important to remember that your feelings and voice are important. The world might be unbearable at times, but sticking to what you believe in and following the goals you have is something to be proud of. It's also important that you prioritize your mental health first. Restarting your business after being depressed is a brave and admirable step. Your health should always come first, and it's wonderful to hear that you have genuine friends that understand and support you in this. Continue to believe in yourself and your abilities. Your accomplishment shows that you can overcome obstacles and attain your objectives. Your journey serves as an example to others who may be facing similar challenges. Continue to be strong, pursue your dreams, and surround yourself with people who genuinely care about your happiness and well-being.

Words of advice: people who envy your successes and tell you that you are too sensitive have narcissistic traits or have developed a narcissist mental disorder. They try to destroy those who they envy because they see them as attacking their inflated self-esteem and fake persona. Their lack of basic warm empathy enables them to be as cruel with their chosen victims as they deem they have to be. Do your best to avoid all contact with those toxic people, or you’ll eventually pay the cost of dealing with them either mentally or physically (health-wise). BTW, congrats for your successes! 🎉 I feel happy for you. I hope someday (sooner rather than later) I’ll be able to follow your footsteps in that sense. 😊

I am greet full for this Chanel really!! I love Dr. Gabor. He helped me a lot. What stands up for me from this interview is the hunger for freedom in me. I believe that, if Mr. Mandela can experience freedom in prison, I sure have access to the freedom. The other point what he said don’t try to be the Masaya and try to save people. I experience that personally, people want to help but I rather people hold space, listen. I have a friend who say I am not expecting you to fix it for me or you have a magic word to say. If you hold space for me that is huge. That is the gift I can do !!! Thank you Dr. Gabor and Inner child matter team!!💕

It's a powerful reminder that, even in difficult situations, we can find our own feeling of freedom and empowerment.Your comment about holding space and listening rather than trying to fix issues for others is very reasonable. Often, simply being present for someone, offering a listening ear, and demonstrating understanding can make all the difference. These are important ideas! Would you please please consider not adding music? I want to listen and hear wholeheartedly but cannot, sorry to say. People can add their own music if they want to - thanks

Great Interview. But why do you insert those videos of random people from the Internet? It would be much better to keep the scene in the room with the interviewee.

begin to say NO...... risk losing the attachment/s ..... (children cannot afford to lose the attachment)..... the PAIN - either the pain of self-supression (including psychosomatic pain) or the pain of loss of certain attachments.... forge new attachments..... ;; SENSITIVITY tied to creativity.... also more sensitive to pain (+ more succeptible to pain and trauma)...

Such A beautiful episode i really like it, but i want Ask you this How can you think that this intelligence can be done by nature it self , no it can never be done by nature ,,truely there is the master, the all knowing , the one governing the universe and the nature ,ALLAH (God) he is the one behind this intelligence

Thank you so much for your nice remarks and for taking the time to share your thoughts. I truly respect your your engagement with the content. I absolutely respect your faith in the divine and your view that intelligence is the fruit of a higher power, in this case, Allah (God). It is important to acknowledge that intelligence is a complicated and broad topic that can be studied through scientific and spiritual lenses. While certain people attribute nature's complexities and intellect to a higher being, others explore same phenomena through the lenses of evolution and science. Finally, these are deeply personal beliefs, and I encourage open and respectful discussions that allow us to consider different points of view. Such discussions allow us to broaden our awareness and appreciation of the world around us. Thank you for watching and expressing your thoughts once again. I hope you continue to appreciate the content, and I welcome further discussion on this or any other issue🌟 💫💕

T the very same thing that my Buddhist teachers have told me what kind of pain do you wanna be in? A lot of times in our culture meditation is presented as the way to bliss out and of course that's all good when you get a taste of it but a lot of meditation is just sitting with stuff like this finding a way 2 have the emotions being not so raw. A lot of meditation is you just gotta sit down and face stuff and work through some stuff. I think many people would be better off western culture would teach meditation process a bit more accurately

Your understanding really resonates with the essence of meditation. It is not only about pursuing happiness, but also about embracing every aspect of human experience. Meditation can help you manage life's ups and downs through improved resilience and self-awareness. It's a path in which we learn how to deal with our feelings, even when they're harsh and unpleasant, and eventually transform them. Your comment regarding the need for a more honest portrayal of meditation in Western culture is true. While the idea of instant happiness is appealing, the real value of meditation is found in the gradual process of self-discovery and healing that it can create. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and may your meditation practice continue to lead you path of self-compassion and understanding💫💕🙏

Understood the concepts, understood most of it, but how to apply it and truly know is impossible because you have to continue to grow so it seems like a paradox here. How can I truly be me and suffer no more? Seems we are only meant to suffer if I’m hearing this correctly so then the question would be asked again, what’s the point? Just to suffer? Seems awfully meaningless and more depressing than I previously was before listening to this

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns. It's not an easy topic, and I appreciate your honesty. Remember, the purpose of self-discovery is to find your own happiness and meaning in life. It's a challenging process, but I believe in you!

Living ones' Authentic Self could mean being a Serial Killer. I guess I really don't get it.

It's definitely a complex concept to grasp, but authenticity is about being true to who you are, not about embracing criminal behavior.
@CharlieBass54 ай бұрын
@@yourinnerchildmatters so you're saying that criminal behavior is an adaptation and not at the core of the person? What about alcoholism and addiction? There is usually criminal and or at least unsocial behavior in the addict and alcoholic.
@allikariel3 ай бұрын
“Criminal” or “anti-social” behavior stems from internal wounds. Proactively or reactively protecting their ego/safety/needs/etc. To be fair, it’s only labeled criminal behavior because we as a society recognize how destructive the behavior is, not because the person is a criminal. Instead, individuals that exhibit these behaviors can be viewed as maladapted and in need of the most love and healing. I say this not in naive altruism but as a person who has worked in the field of criminal justice very closely with those labeled as criminals for nearly a decade. The best ideology I’ve found is to couple the fact above with the concept that “Compassion without limits is enabling.” Because there are those who just simply aren’t ready to heal or are not aware enough to understand the need to…not even for themselves, let alone for a society of which they do not identify with enough to blindly or consciously follow it’s social order.
@CharlieBass53 ай бұрын
@@allikariel I can see healing internal wounds if you can get them early enough, to me it seems like over time the thinking that is created from the initial wound causes more wounds. As we get older, how do we come to the realization that we can be healed? Is it possible?
@allikariel3 ай бұрын
@@CharlieBass5 If you’re asking for yourself, then you already know you can because you’re here. If you’re asking in general terms as a human condition, I think that’s part of the beauty of being a human. A wounded inner child always acts out, so typically we are made aware that healing needs to happen through pain or discomfort. And depending on how stubborn we are, determines whether or not we listen and seek answers to realize we can heal. As far as my understanding goes.
