The most disturbing one I remember: devotees of the series will know they regularly had the decoy tell the predator to stay in the gotcha room while she went to “let the dog out” or “take the laundry out of the dryer” so she could retreat and let Chris make his entrance. But there was one that did not wait, but instead made a bee-line towards the room where the decoy was ducking out. Chris pretty much had to push him back into the confrontation room. Really disturbing to imagine what would’ve happened had that not been a TCAP sting.

The interesting thing about what Chris Hansen does on TCAP is that while he always says the same thing, he says it with authority. Often when people don't know who he is they think he's a cop, and occasionally the parent of the kid. "Take that towel over there and wrap it around yourself." "Take a seat." "What are you doing here?" "So, you thought because you were lonely it was ok to go to a house where you know a 12 year old girl would be all alone?" For putting himself in potentially dangerous situations he goes in surprisingly stern and stoic. He seems like a parental figure, weirdly, to me. Like a parent catching a child in the act of a crime and he has to reprimand them and tell them to go to their room.
@antibull48692 жыл бұрын
Predators are cowards. They prey on children because children dont have the ability to stand up for themselves. Chris understands this, and portrays himself as someone in a position of authority to protect himself. The fact that it works with virtually EVERY predator he caught/catches, only serves to provide more evidence to the idea that predators are, at their core, spineless leeches on society.

TCAP is one of the best things television has ever aired. I remember when Chris got busted for having an affair people were like "Ha.. Karma!" Like what? How is that karma? It was obvious those people simped for the chomo's. Disgusting.
@dfsfsdfd2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, to normal people it would be like, "dude why did you cheat." To say that is karma is admitting you saw him busting chomos as gathering bad karma. If anything Chris has a Karmaic Surplus.

What I’ve heard about female predators is similar to what Chris says, but more general. They go for kids they personally know rather than strangers
@therookie7102 жыл бұрын
And they don't do it over the internet.
@Marlboro-lights12 жыл бұрын
While both are disgusting and the lowest form of humanity, I do think that the way women prey on kids they know, and victimize those close to them, is deeply disturbing and insidious. To have the mother figure be the one to abuse you, and that being disguised as caring, is one of the most evil things a child could experience. For people to say women don’t do these things is giving cover to some of the most evil abusers in this world.

The amount of sex offenders around if you look it up is absolutely shocking. I have a family friend that used to be a parole officer for those individuals. He said they would have to constantly switch up who’s watching the sex offenders because they absolutely were going to do it again., 99% of the time and you never know when. It’s was so incredibly draining they had to switch on and off with who’s supposed to be watching the offenders, it was just too much for someone to handle all the time. I asked him, “well, where are these people? Where do they go after they get out?” I lived in the inner city at that time. He asked my address and said there are 2 or 3 halfway houses for cereal sex offenders by my house, within walking distance. One being two blocks away. Ugh. As I watch the neighborhood kids play in the street later it just made me so sick. Still even. With the stories I’ve herd.. Stay vigilant people. Reprehensible.

I'm sure sexual abuse of children by women is not as rare as these three think. You have to keep in mind that women get looked at differently, so a lot of it will just be looked at like "mother-like care" or something by the kid. Also, they usually don't use chat rooms so that entire TCAP thing wouldn't really be possible

When I was only 13 years old there was a grown woman (between 30-40) who talked to me on a chat room and then drove a state over to come meet me… I was scared and didn’t know what to do so I told her to come to my house. (My mom was home but didn’t know she was there) After like 30 minutes I tried to get her to leave and she tried to make me leave with her for over an hour… I tried so many excuses to get her to leave and she wouldn’t. She told me to at the very least come outside with her and let her take pictures of me and the she will leave. So I went outside and let her take pictures of me she continued to try to get me in the car and she even tried to kiss me. I just ran back in my house and she left. So yeah it does happen with women too but it’s just not that common.
