I don’t think Bert should actually try and “lose weight” aka dieting, long cardio hours, etc. (he’s been trying that with mixed results for years). Bert should instead try and build as much muscle mass as possible, basically go a bit into the old fashion bodybuilder route. The main problem with his previous weight loss attempts, long term, is that he essentially simply doesn’t like the sparse meals and long cardio hours, basically the skinny white women routine. If Bert tries to build muscle mass first, more muscle will increase his metabolism and when he does do cardio it will be less work for similar results, and what I suspect is Bert’s biggest problem, I had this too when I wrestled in my youth, is being fucking hungry all the time. Nothing is as big of a kick to the balls in motivation than being hungry. If Bert builds muscle like a IFBB bodybuilder he’ll not have that problem, just look at the eating plans of any bodybuilder on KZbin, they stuff their face everyday with just different food than pizza and beer. Thirdly, if Bert starts building muscle mass his motivation might actually increase, and any cardio he does can be dialed down from sober October marathon of cardio workouts. Honestly, just walking in the morning before breakfast for an hour would be pretty good, just look at pro bodybuilder’s cardio routines most aren’t that crazy, slow stairs or walking or short 20 min sprint sessions like twice a week, let Bert take his pick. Essentially, if Bert does build muscle he won’t be hungry, he’ll look better naked (a motivation boost), he can try it with a buddy like Tom, and he’ll have an easier time when he does decide to do cardio.

@VVoOꟻF 300lbs of muscle is way harder on your system. That’s why so many of them die but you see 300lb fatties every single day. Also barth could surely get away with trt and make a big enough change to build the right momentum

The math just doesn't work out. You have to put on 50 pounds of muscle to increase your base metabolic rate by 500 calories. The act of lifting doesn't burn many calories either. The same way most people can't outrun a bad diet, most people can't outlift a bad diet. Maybe weightlifting works in that it keeps you motivated to adopt healthier choices throughout the rest of the day.

Lol I played football with a lot of guys who were well over 250 and they didn’t look anything like Bert. 256?…come on man. The face fat doesn’t lie. If he’s 6’ 0” he’s sitting around 280 or I’ll eat my shoe.

How many times will Brönt talk about his weight and how many times will I waste my time listening to it? With everything he's done and said over the years, I've never heard of anyone with a mind as strange as his.

The psychology of fat people on trying to lose weight is frustratingly backwards to the point that it’s almost funny. “What do I need to add to my life to lose weight” The sad part is all you need to do, is intake less of what you already do. Once you go to sleep “hungry” a few times your body will stop panicking and realize you are going to be just fine.

Let your stomach growl once a day. Twice a day, when you’re hungry and any food tastes good, eat the first half of your meal consisting of mostly vegetables. Just doing that will lose you 2 pounds a week for 10 weeks. I lost 95 pounds in 10 months.

The funny thing is as an American I've realized most Americans put too much into working out and not enough into diet. I used to think I could just work out and still eat a lot, but never lost weight. I recently only started eating less (ie 1/4 of a takeout order) and didn't change exercise at all. Dropped 40# in 3 months. In America EVERYTHING is huge and has sugar in it. We don't need pounds of food for lunch and dinner.

I went down to 145 from 180 in a year from just following a Mediterranean diet/ intermittent fasting. Went up to 165 after starting to lift and sticking to the Mediterranean diet. Overall took about 2 years to get to an aesthetic physique. I’m 5’10 as well so I think I’m at a good weight now.

Good stuff my friend. What is a Mediterranean diet? Are you just referring to the foods you ate or are there other things that make it unique?
@lacrosse4higher3 жыл бұрын
@@erich9983 it’s pretty easy to follow and you can still eat good food. No refined carbs, no processed food, no food with added sugar, and lots of water. I would eat brown rice or whole grain pasta with either grilled chicken/salmon and sometimes red meat. Combined with intermittent fasting it’s an easy strategy for weight loss. When I wanted to get more weight on I would switch to white rice and pasta and larger portions.

Find your maintenance for your caloric intake then substract 300 to 500 cals.
