When Danny said, "Do you think I'm cool to hang out with Sober?" my heart broke, man. Seeing the man truly be vulnerable for a second sad but ultimately encouraging. I hope he comes out of rehab stronger than ever

Same. Dudes worrying too much about becoming boring sober. Being blitzed all the time IS entertaining for a while but then it goes the other way, your world gets smaller and it starts dulling everything. He'll be back way stronger.

@BazookaTooth707 Жыл бұрын
That's actually a very common theme for addicts. For example, I know many alcoholics who were afraid to get sober because they thought you couldn't have fun without it. Another example is many comedians think they won't be funny anymore without relying on their go-to crutch.

@@BazookaTooth707 Yup. I used to think I had to be high AF to perform with my band.
@BazookaTooth707 Жыл бұрын
@@clicheguevara5282 I definitely understand it. As someone who writes, and mostly would write high when I was younger, I would constantly gaslight myself into thinking inspiration was coming from being intoxicated. Don't get me wrong: drugs can most definitely enhance things, but it's also a fast track into things like depression that only kill inspiration and ultimately your spirit.

Your drug use does not define you and you can and will be just as talented and proficient in your craft without all the bullshit. You got this! I recently came across a Tom Waits quote about this exact struggle and it resonated with me, maybe it will with you too, if you should ever see this. “One is never completely certain when you drink and do drugs whether the spirits that are moving through you are the spirits from the bottle or your own. And, at a certain point, you become afraid of the answer. That’s one of the biggest things that keeps people from getting sober, they’re afraid to find out it was the liquor talking all along.” He's been sober for over 20 years now and continues to make amazing art. You will go through a period of feeling out of touch with your artistic side but it will be brief and the art you're gonna create when you come out on the other side will be the best stuff you've ever written and created. I got sober off everything but MJ and kratom 4 years ago, and I'm doing incredible now, my art and my music, my vision, is so much better, so much more clear. Hey Danny, I got sober in late 2019 from hard drugs. And I’m telling you, getting sober is the best thing you could ever do for yourself and your art. When people get sober yes their art changes, but their soul doesn’t. Life is better not using…You’ll be the same person, just a clearer artist and your art will elevate. Everything will elevate and be better. Just stay away from poppers, mushrooms, and everything fr. Or else it’ll set you back to a person who you don’t want to be. I’m proud of you for getting clean, and the hip hop community loves you so much. I know it’s hard being sober, and you feel like things are going to change: but the reason why artists who got sober had “trash” music was because when you’re on drugs or an addict: it feels like trash because you’re using. So you didn’t resonate with the sobriety music. You’ve being given good life and you bouta blow the fuck up twice more again and then sum. Chicagohead who loves Midwest music, and is inspired by you. You are Detroit’s legend! You’re Chitown’s sister city’s legend! A Midwest legend! You are a great in music history! Thank you for have assisted in making me the person I am today and the art that I make + rap, I promise sobriety doesn’t change anything: it just elevates you into the person you have always been. Shit bouta blow up. Keep your head up Danny, we love you. Chitown loves you hella. And Detroit. Hope I get to see you perform new music in Detroit. In the Midwest we use a lot because it’s heavy drug culture & accessibility. So you’re just being reborn by getting sober: sober gives you new life and you can never look back. It’s fr like some born again Christian stuff. Stay away from people and places that bring you back to the on drugs you. And stay away from any alternative medicine too. You have to be 100% percent. Don’t go trying anything just because it’s mushrooms or even stem cells or any of that. Go by the book and it’ll keep you good. Can’t wait to see all the new art you put out OG. Much love from the chi. Doctors are real and science is real. Rehab gets ppl right fr. Can’t wait to see how the new Danny Brown is! You bouta rewrite music🙏

I'd like to thank Danny Brown and YMH Studios for constantly making me think I have a smudge on the left side of my screen.

The way Danny Brown talks about comedians is exactly what rappers are.

Not the same. The shade is shadier with comedians 😈 tony knew but was acting like he didn't hahaah
@BazookaTooth707 Жыл бұрын
@@reekhavoc2932 I don't know dude. Rappers have legitimately had public feuds where they've killed one another lol We can't act like rappers aren't backstabbing their homies and other rappers.
