The Liberals are facing misinformation from the Conservatives rather than facts on the ground. However, some Canadians are just looking for change, and a new Liberal leader will give them that and save them from the worst options.

We were told multiple times by the libs that the carbon tax is revenue neutral then the PBO came out saying that it brings in some 4, 500 million in GST. Thopse seem like facts on the ground. How is it not misinformation for the liberal gov. to say it's revenue neutral? How about this"Eight out of ten Canadians get more back in carbon tax than they put in" The PBO has stated the same as that but added to it "in direct costs." Isn't that misinfo via omission to suggest "Eight out of ten Canadians get more back in carbon tax than they put in" and not add the thought "in direct costs."? You're right, conservatives are coming out with misinformation but our current liberal government is responsible for much of the misinfo we face.

@@jimmiller6704 What makes the Liberals an option for many people is that they are practical, not ideological. The carbon tax was the right thing to do. There is a growing international commitment to reducing carbon emissions that Canada cannot ignore. Change is coming, Liberal or not. There is also an economic opportunity for Canada in renewable energy. The Liberal government has already laid the groundwork for the electric vehicle industry. and thats what Trump and musk do not want

Libs would have been far better off with the truth. "The carbon tax benefits 4 out of 10 Canadians and the environment." That's what the PBO had stated, there's the practical answer liberals should have stated on it. How BC put it in place seemed to have worked, not sure why they didn't use that example. The reason why it didn't work was that Trudeau had ran on pos pol then he didn't do a thing toward that to build up political capital for those times he wanted to make an unpopular decision. It was so unfortunate. Libs did it to us and themselves with their impractical answers, constant redaction and the blocking of parliament. "Why is an arm that has never been used in a cry me on the list of banned heaters?" That was answered with "The cons want to legalize auto mat tick Tommy arms." Look up "Trudeau asked 18 times". They practiced negative politics from the start. Multiple times on other topics they failed to answer properly or they provided redacted documents and it ate up all their political capital for when they wanted to make an unpopular decision.
