You are the only KZbinr I have seen that has the EXACT same hair texture as me, 3C everywhere else and 4A at the crown. I'm currently transitioning and am so excited for it to fully grow out. I sometimes use the TGIN gel with my two-strand twists and I like how it's thick yet has a light hold but I noticed that it doesn't hold up against humidity at all! Works great for slicking my hair up in a bun tho. So far, nothing compares to the original clear ECO Styler gel to make the curls last. (btw, that's also the best water bottle ever! I love how it mists the water)

Norman Miner lol! I'm about 8 months in. Two-strand twists seem to be the only style that blends the two textures together. I'm trying my best to hold out until it gets past that awkward length before I chop off the relaxed part. Right now it's all trial and error 😂

I love that you showed how they performed on both your 3c and 4a sections. For us 4a girls, buying 8oz -12oz products can be a waste because we have to use double or triple the amount for similar results. The Mielle gave you more definition, clumping and shine. The olive oil in TGIN might have caused the "soft" hold and weighing hair down. I would love to see comparisons of the 1. Mielle vs. Camille Rose deep conditioners 2. Mielle Peony leave-in vs. Camille Rose Fresh Curl, Alikay leave-in or Kinky Curly Knot Today or 3. Mielle Avocado Milk vs. Curls Creme Brûlée or Kurlee Belle Thirsty Kurls.

The Mielle side definitely made your curls look better. I was rooting for the TGIN because the consistency was similar to Eco Styler gel and Eco Styler is the only thing that gets my hair to clump in the front and last me a week with no refreshing.

I have the TGIN product but have not used it yet. I used the Mielle Organics product but after the second day, my hair looked liked a dry mess. Underneath, I used a leave-in and sweet almond oil. I also got flakes with the Mielle product.

Shirese Louie definitely try with the leave in and milk or maybe just the milk. In my experience the avocado milk was great to pair withe the Mielle Organics

Shirese Louie me too! I was so excited, because I thought the Mielle would be a less expensive alternative to Camille Rose gel, but the gel cast never went away. I can usually get a week out of a WNG, and am able to scrunch out the crunch by day 2, but not with Mielle. I got frustrated with the feel of my hair by day 3, and cowashed it. FYI I used the peony leave in, avocado milk, and an oil under the gel 😩.

Shirese Louie girl yes. I've had the dry problem with Mielle products. The deep conditioner did that to me. Could've held me by the ankles and used me to sweep the floor.

Mielle Organics is the best of the two brands compared. The TGIN was frizzy, still pretty though, but it probably will not last long. I liked the hold and definition your hair has from using the Mielle Organics brand.

I have 3c/4a also. I use Mielle. I got it because it had more natural stuff in it than TGIN. It also does not irritate my scalp like other gels...and it smells wonderful!

Lifeislesha...I have the TGIN daily moisturizer, triple moisturizing conditioner and honey hair mask. I love them all super moisturizing. I hate Mielles protein conditioner and the gel makes my 3C curls turn to Ramen noodles before there cooked.

I like the Mielle side. We have similar hair even down to the location of your 4a. It always frustrates me when my 3c comes out perfectly and the 4a is bushy like the TGIN side. Because it ruins the style by grizzling out first. Do you know if how you trim it (4a) makes a difference in how it behaves?

Overall Muelle did the job. The other could be for a different look, more ethnic. The oil might've changed something. Wonder if T had a leave in or oil based spray to certain the stay of definition . Good video.

Both sides are great. Depending on what type of wng your going for either gel would work. Personally I like the Mielle side best but if I wanted more volume and if I wanted more of a 2 day look from jump I would use the tgin. tfs.

Great demo video! The Mielle side looked really nice! Was the Mielle Gel sticky as it dried? I experienced a lot of sticky residue when I used the TGIN gel. It had no hold & took too long to dry, so I tossed it. Wish I had saw your video first. I would have tried it by itself to see if the results changed. This video made me wanna try the Honey Ginger gel! Thanks for the comparison videos, super helpful.
