Yeahhhh……I stopped going to HobbyTown cuz they only have SD kits. Luckily Target and Hobby Lobby have some leftovers, but it’s getting slightly harder to find Gunpla that I actually want. I watched a review of the HG Moon Gundam, and then I went to a Hobby Lobby a few days after I saw one there, it was gone. All that was left was a Gouf Custom and some HG Zaku. It’s scary, I really hope that Bandai and Bluefin can start getting more Gunpla out.

For me i've been just keeping track of the monthly reprint list and backordering them on Hobbylink Japan before they get restocked so i can secure one. They tend to get restocked on there within a week of the reprint date and then i just ship multiple kits at a time to save money. The translated list gets posted every month on r/gunpla on Reddit. It's the easiest way to secure the kits i want atm.

Part of it could also be that their factory is understaffed to account for social distancing guidelines which could impact production quantity.

I love Tekkaman Blade and wish that Bandai would make a kit for it but Tekkaman is a Tatsunoko property which isn't a Bandai owned company, right?

I am pretty sure that Bandai has 2 factories. They were definitely planning on making a new factory. If the 2nd factory is open then the current demand is too high even for 2 factories.

Problems with shipping containers is the main problem, not enough supply, ships not being unloaded in ports, is affecting all international imports, gunpla included. The entire supply chain has been compromised.

There are also a lot of hustlers in the scene. Some of the new online stores are a good example!!

I tried gunpla and it wasnt for me. I have several semi finished kits and left over parts. I want to give them to someone who will enjoy them.
