We need to strengthen our minds to be critical self thinkers to overcome and build up the mind so it isn’t susceptible to victimhood! Victimhood breads weakness, weak thoughts and thought processes and conclusions and policy! I always laugh at myself with whomever it is in the moment who cracks a joke at me! Always! What a great interview! People have to understand that comedy is 1) an amazing way to cope with hard moments in life. 2) it's a way to criticise the things that are wrong in the world. 3) it's supposed to unite people from different backgrounds through the little things that we all have in common as humans. 4) it's not malicious, it's matter of fact. 5) it's freedom. This guy is precious because he's great at doing all of the above with his heart in the right place. And believe me, as a person with disabilities, I wish every person were like Matt when I'm going through harder times! I am stupidly foolish when I have to deal with hardship and lots of people look at me in a judgemental way... Hey! It's my pain, it's my body, it's my life and I don't have to be suffering in order to please your pre conceived idea of what hardship looks like! I mourned for the life I lost, I've been through hell and now I accept my new life, I know how to handle it, it's my normality! I’m recovering from a near fatal massive stroke and I’m temporarily handicapped and once in a while I may require a wheelchair. I would absolutely love to see Matt Rife live and in person and be roasted! I’m working on some big things! I absolutely love and appreciate the dark humor! Especially now more than ever after discovering Matt Rife.

Wishing you well in your recovery. My boyfriend just had a near fatal stroke, he was in the ICU for 32 days. He lost most of his vision, and is also (hopefully temporarily) in a wheelchair.

@@billybusseyhis crowd work is impeccable! Sorry for you that you don’t appreciate his work but I’m sure there are plenty of comedians that you can appreciate. This doesn’t mean he isn’t funny. He literally shut down Ticketmaster! Taylor Swift is the only other person to ever do this.

Matt Story is so inspiring nd reminds me of the bamboo growth story. Where nothing happens for yrs, but then you get that 1 yr of growth out of nowhere. Love it 🙌🏽 I stay using this story as an example for ppl that want to quit stuff they been working on for years.

@shiryzie Thanks so much for your bamboo comment and how you encourage people with it. I've been slogging away at something for ten years... you just gave me a boost to keep going.

Matt seeing you in this interview so very much confirms that you are who I have thought you we're since I just by chance came across one of your KZbin clips something like a year and a half ago. The person you have showed all of us that you are is such a wonderful person. You help make so many make light of just so much. You bring so many so much laughter and happiness. I am 19 years old and I have a panic and eating disorder. The fact that he is trying to make people laugh over it is so sweet. I wish I could laugh about my anxiety. I hope I can eventually. Right now it’s overpowering my life and the stuff I do. It’s really hard for sure! When I see Matt Rife’s videos and his Netflix specials. They make me happy and make me forget about my issues. I hope to see him at one of his shows. If I can’t afford it then I’ll just keep trying my best to work hard and get the money to go see him. He’s definitely someone I look up to. Knowing he has anxiety and depression as well has really got me to love him even more!!
