I made sure to shake all of the parents hands and personally introduce myself at the first practice as they were showing up. I had never had a coach do that so I made sure I did it because I wished my son's prior coaches did. Thank you for another great video!

I was a first time head coach last Spring after being an assistant for three seasons. I didn't practice until the meet and greet. The 1st two games we were mercy ruled. The 3rd game was close until halftime after which we were blown out. We then started 1 practice during the week after watching your videos. We won the next 3 games! Last Summer our team went 5-2 after we picked up 7 new players. My point is having a few practices before the meet and greet may be beneficial. Also, one, one hour practice during the week helps too. Thanks for your all your helpful videos. They made a difference in our seasons and most of all, our players positive attitudes. Will we see you at the tournament in Denver after the Spring season?

Love these videos. First time 8U head coach here. This really helps! Follow-up question. I noticed you have a play wristband here. Would play wristbands be beneficial for 7/8 year olds, or would it be too advanced for them? 🤔

Definitely not too advanced! We started before that age and they caught on. Have tons of coaches using them at K level. So you’re good.
