When I watched this video. It made me remember when I was trying to get into art colleges and was rejected by my teachers and counselors in highschool to not do it and that my efforts were very little. I relate well with this since I knew a KZbinr who was small and became a successful artist over a few months. Makes me joyful and motivated ❤

This resonated in a way I didn't expect. I wanted to get into the art industry, and have made so many efforts, since I was a little kid. So many failures has me sometimes thinking that maybe I'm not cut out for this, and maybe I should try something else, but I keep coming back to it. But because of this off-again-on-again pattern. I'm nowhere near where I want to be. I can't shake it for long so i KNOW it's what I want to do in spite of the struggle. I'm sorry that a big streamer and their community treated you like that. It boils me when content creators act so high and mighty as if they didn't start from somewhere. O:< A little compassion could have changed your entire trajectory. But, hey, I'm glad you picked things back up. Your videos have been very inspiring to me, and I'm feeling my own next attempt at content coming on, and with more hope because of you. 💕

Being an artist myself for three years already, I started to see that not all artists know how to handle social media. Even I that created a twitter in 2022 haven't seen my account pass 30 followers, and I don't understand if is something with my posts, the time I post or even if I'm shadowbanned. Even so I keep moving, studying and improving my skills because I may not love social media, but I do love art and the art that is present here on youtube, twitter and others. I started to make my own timelapses videos literally one week ago, I know that youtube can be slower for some, but also it feel good to edit and post my own stuff and say "that is my work and I think I did something great". Thanks for the video and inspiration Sayuui!!

What a story. A lot of people would have given up if they were you. But you continued and keep trying despite everything. You can be proud of yourself. 👏 Personally, I stopped posting my drawings a few years ago because the lack of feedback compared to my colleagues make me frustrated and miserable. I realized few days ago that it wasn't because I didn't get any praises or being mocked mean that I was a bad person. So I decide to try again few... and now I feel better and I don't care about numbers because I want to enjoy sharing while keep getting better 😊

This video came at the perfect time! I've been trying to become a KZbinr but haven't been consistent enough with it. I meant to focus on my channel more this year but ended up getting sidetracked by other things, the most notable being a time-consuming (but fun!) fanzine. Now that I've finished my zine work, I'm going to get back into making videos. I feel like my art improved after that so I'm excited to try again. Your words have given me more inspiration. I'm glad you've pushed past your past obstacles and I hope your community will keep growing. Keep up the good work :)

Oh! I used to read an old book 'How to make it (as an artist)' the author is 80 year olds guy and he already dead when I read the book. His mentality is similar to the mentor you mention. I think the era before internet make it hard to make people remember you if you or your art don't have a remembrance style. and the easiest way to have remembrance art style is to limit your medium and the subject you draw. The book isn't that bad, he teach other thing really good.
@Sayuui3 ай бұрын
@@alartyrlinnil my mentors were the opposite though... They didn't mind not being remembered, they only wanted to make as much money as possible. But somehow, they still wanted people to know who they are? Very paradoxal. Weird.

@@Sayuui haha on the book he want money too, he sell his art to gallery on Texas. It’s just he think if people remember his art, the price go up something like that. I guess it like those named artist Vango, Leonadoda Vinci someone like that who can sell Mona Lisa and get million dollars~

1:45 I've been keeping my dreams of becoming a 2D Artist and KZbinr throughout my college years in the Philippines. After graduation in June 2023 I've been floating around my room, not taking action to kickstart my art hobby and disregarding my degree in IT. And I haven't started creating videos in my free time back in the previous year. 2024 came and still figuring out, too many hobbies to be interested but with no motivation to get up to do so without a goal. (i would think that having a goal is having a purpose but for me, I dunno. Having to stand out and have a knack business-wise)

Also FYI, I've done a little bit of digital art, starting with MS Paint since I was a child. As the years went by, I grew a bit and stopped drawing digitally and went to pen and paper in my later school years and then stopped when I graduated since then. Just play games all day.

KZbin is a business. Things have changed, gone are the days where you can just record yourself playing games or telling life stories to your audience and get views from them. I've only been growing recently but here's what I've learned: You need to provide value, and people can only see value when you show it to them, by doing something that not everyone can do. Sure, a person can upload a video of them playing games or taking a trip with their friends, but the content is essentially worthless. Anyone can play a game, anyone can hang out with their friends, you don't need a KZbin video for that. In order to be heard, you need to give what people wanna hear. In order to be seen, you need to show what people wanna see. You don't wanna waste your time working on something that nobody will care about, even if deep down you enjoy it, because trust me it's not worth it.
@Sayuui3 ай бұрын
@@Kalitayy I second this. You blow up on KZbin by delivering specifically the value people are looking for. That's one of the things I've been doing.

@Sayuui3 ай бұрын
@@yavnrh I would recommend learning Japanese is your final goal involves going to Japan in some way.
