Happy Anniversary. My husband & I just started watching KZbin. One of our first ones was Lets turn it up world. We recently stopped watching them. As we get a fake vibe from them. We watch your videos when they are uploaded. You guys are down to earth and honest. We like watching Rving with Luck. Since when we finally get our rv, we will be boondocking most of the time. Most of the ones we have watched seem so fake and just hocking a much of stuff. If I see another commercial about an rv mattress, I am going to pull my hair out.

I stopped watching "The RV Odd Couple". When they were full-timing in their fifth-wheel with their young daughter, they were great about sharing "the good, the bad, the ugly" about full-time RV living. They eventually purchased a tired, old, RV park in the south and their focus shifted to their efforts to bring this RV Park up to date. At that point, I lost interest.

One thing about watching videos with HDT is people are buying semi trucks that never drove them or had any training and get to jump in and drive and guys that have cdl have to go through so much crap to get and keep them. So many similarities in channels I’ve dropped, but the ah-ha moment for me dropping Todd and Shiela’s channel was about a year ago when I was watching a Brazin Britts video(who I also unsubscribed from because I got tired of them hustling their paid members program excessively) that showed Todd’s channel showing up to a campground with a full on production company film crew. And that was way before the HD bandwagon they have now. I can only imagine what it like to be camped near them now. Great video…thank you.👍🏼😎

Interesting timing Rick. We were just approached by a couple in our current RV Park that brought up a similar point - they thanked us as we were the only KZbinrs that they met on the road that didn't have decals plastered everywhere, signage out and everything else - apparently we are not the norm as it becomes a circus where a lot of these people go. While I can't speak for the ones you mentioned - we have seen similar things from other channels. Maybe it is the "look at me generation" lol

@@rleha7788 exactly! It’s not them having it, it’s the way they obtained it. They are just too financially motivated for me to believe that they are doing this to benefit the crew. People who are truly called to serve don’t look to live higher than those they serve. Just my opinion.

The sponsors paid for the 1st year, not the entire thing. Oh, and the money they charged for the build videos, that did not even cover the cost of having the editing done. I think if we ever crossed paths I could go on for a half hour about one of your choices that I happen to agree with, just not appropriate for the public square LOL.Otherwise, I think most of it is a natural arc. You're drawn toward relatable people and content. Then over time, your tastes change, or they make a shift, either of which makes their content less interesting. So, you move on. No foul on anyone, just a force of nature for the most part. Here's a suggestion for some different RV-related content if you haven't stumbled on them yet: Nigel & Sue Adventures. An Australian couple not quite retired yet, full time in a very well done DIY 4x4 Sprinter. They get to some fascinating places and some of the best videography I've seen on any KZbin content.

I missed the times that people did this because of their passion and not for clicks to make only money. I say keep the passion and integrity and if you can make money while doing it, then that’s a plus. I just started my channel as a hobby to share my travel experiences as city folk who are new to rv life exploring the US. I enjoy photography and sharing my itinerary with family and friends. If my channel gets followers great! If not great! I’m doing it cause it’s something I love to do and I never want to trade that for just making money. Just my opinion

I only recognized one channel that you two don't watch anymore. (Matt's RV's)

How about the one channel that promotes one internet connection while using a totally different one set-up in the background…of every single video! Do the sponsors not watch any of these YT videos?
@liferedesigned7 ай бұрын
Depends on what they are doing. We used to use 2 separate networks, one for Bob’s work and one for streaming and our security cameras. In a place like TTO for example, one network can be great during the day but at night when everyone is streaming - it could be useless. You are right though- seems pretty sketchy if it is in every single video.

Hmmm… all of the channels you mentioned, that I actually watched, have been dropped by me too; for the very same reasons. Switch it up bummed me out. Two more that I have dropped are Paving New Paths and RV America Y’all. I still watch you guys (I keep recalling and chuckling about the “swingers” episode) but you’ve caused me pause a couple of times. I started watching because of the whole unsponsored approach (and how you two interact) and yet I’m wondering if you’re going to go down that path.
@liferedesigned7 ай бұрын
The thing to remember Scott is that we NEVER said anything about not taking sponsors in an honest manner - We do everything with or personal morals as a priority. That all said, there is a time and a season for every channel (point of this video) If our time and season is up for you - no hard feelings, it's okay, it's just KZbin.
@scottwood98327 ай бұрын
Interesting approach. I feel I’ve been asked to unsubscribe.
@liferedesigned7 ай бұрын
Not at all Scott - We are simply saying that our position never changed. If you feel that the channel is no longer for you, we are accepting of that. That is what makes KZbin great as we have said a thousand times - The best part is the YOU - you are free to subscribe and unsubscribe as you see fit. We would never want anyone to feel obligated to be subscribed if they were no longer interested or in agreement of our message. Yes, we are 1000% different than most KZbinr's for this simple belief alone.
@mcgilm695 ай бұрын
I stopped watching Wingman Nation. I was subscribed because he is an RVer and used to run campgrounds, so he had some good insight on things RV related. As of late though, he has taken his channel from RV related stuff and added political content with which I don't agree.
@liferedesigned5 ай бұрын
yeah, we usually unsubscribe when the politics start coming. We see enough of that everywhere else

I quit watching: Little House on the Road, Trent and Allie, The Nomadic Movement.
@agelessrving7 ай бұрын
As much as I love your channel, I'm not sure that channels you quit is important to us.
@liferedesigned7 ай бұрын
What may not be important to you, may be for others. A lot of people just found channels that they didn't know existed. That was the point of the video - promoting other channels that may not be to our liking but may serve a purpose to others.
@BrentGorman-c7p5 ай бұрын
I've never heard of the channels you mentioned except MrBeast. How can you not like MrBeast, non political, does great philanthropy, G rated, and the videos are a lot of fun, no agenda.
@liferedesigned5 ай бұрын
There is always an agenda and Mr Beast certainly does not hide it - the agenda is making money plain and simple. We never said that we disagreed with him, just find the content not to our personal liking as it is exaggerated and not realistic. As we said in the video, if you like any of these channels - enjoy as at one point and time each of them were part of our KZbin journey.

❤Happy Anniversary y’all! The only one on your list I’ve even heard of is Mr. Beast….but, I’ve also never watch him either. 😂

Watched 1 video from them 2 years ago and wasn’t impressed. The name alone that implies they are full time but yet only an occasional weekend tripper at best - said all we needed to know about them
@AdventuresOverStuff7 ай бұрын
@@liferedesigned Yes! I also find them to post a lot of “controversy” or negativity. Everything is over sensationalized for clickbait.

Kinda the underlying message of this video - lots of great channels that no matter the size, people have discovered or never heard of. All worth checking out
