This has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard... it's a toy not to difficult to figure out how to push little sticks back and forth... not even close to comparing it to a full scale rig lmfao
@BigCool956 жыл бұрын
Avis Ordan sure its not hard to push sticks back and forth, but thats not what operating real equipment is. And they have full size D10 dozers that are remote control. No difference between this “toy” and the real thing. This “toy” is just a smaller scale.
@AQLandscaping6 жыл бұрын
I would absolutely love to have one of these, even in smaller scale configuration that can still carry the weight of real soil and rocks. The prices are crazy yet understandable.

A new full scale Cat D9 costs a million dollars, 1M/14 would be ~$71k, so a working $3k is not a bad deal. Then again I don't know if the scaled down one has at least 30 horse power, so maybe the price is scaled against HP and not size.

Even with a 10 ton dozer you have to judge the cut for a hole run. That makes the ground level for the next cut. But with getting rocks in the track gear, you just run back and forward a few times till the rock is mashed to pieces. This is the RC that I enjoy.

HI as a couple of tips from a blade driver,,, your controls can be changed to left hand stick to drive only IE forward as forward and left as left and so on... on the right hand you will have up blade as pull back tilt right as turn right and so on. ok as to bulldozing it takes bit. 1st try not to travel over your cuts, keep the tracks on virgin ground. second dont be greedy what we tend to do is use to left or right of the blade to get to depth,,, just a foot at the time, track back , grap another foot until you are down to dig level, then you blade should start to get full. when the dozer cant push any more don't start to lift the blade and run over(compressing what you have dug) go back tack about half that heap. and repeat.

It might work a bit better if it was heavier. The weight is what gives it the traction to shove mountains. As for controls, I would venture a guess that you are so used to the skidsteer controls, you want the dozer controls to be the same, as they both have two joysticks. I am not familiar with the radio to know if you could switch the settings so the right stick is all of your movement, and the left stick runs the blade. The just use the other switches for the ripper.

Jam both track controls forward and steer by tilting the blade side to side left takes you left, right takes you right. If dizer stops going forward simply raise blade ever so much. Dozers are made to carry a full snoot of dirt and when they're fully loaded, the blade tilt will get you left or right.

You joke, but I'm curious now: would it be feasible to use this dozer to level or rip a small garden? It has plenty of power to move dirt, but you don't show how often/quickly it drains a battery. I'm gonna assume it's on 3 cell LiPo. Awesome video dude.
@TheRealRCSparks6 жыл бұрын
Hello Cole. I mentioned in the film that I used one battery. It really depends on how much throttle you are using.. much like anything battery related. The more you use the quicker it drains. The more you push, the more it drains.. but.. from my limited experience - what you see here - I used the machine for 30 minutes solid, on 5500mah 3s. I started with my voltage at 12.54 and charged it at 10.20. As for gardening.. yes, this dozer will rip straight lines on an afternoon with glee ;)

I have the older TX for the dozer, but if you don't like the stock TX set up try using a mix so steering is on one stick and blade is on the other. You'll have to move some input around on the RX as well.
@Rcheavyequipment6 жыл бұрын
How did you managed to combine the two track motors to one stick control
@TheRealRCSparks6 жыл бұрын
Hello, I used a new Single ESC that replaced the dual ESC's that are inside. This is a special ESC they use for robotics called a "Sabertooth". I also had to use a BEC (voltage distribution block) to handle the electronics as the sabertooth only has a 1amp BEC. I chose a step up from this ESC (bit.ly/2Dd8rmO), but I think the one in the link would do just fine, and its 1/2 price. Here is the BEC I used, bit.ly/2PjaOvI. This will help you avoid any "Brown-outs" in power. Hope that helps you!
@Rcheavyequipment6 жыл бұрын
Thanks I will order those and try it. Hope I'll do it ok
@TheRealRCSparks6 жыл бұрын
When using the BEC.. Remove the RED WiRE in the RX servo lead coming from the ESC. Take it out of the black servo plug on the wire, and tape it to the wire, so its covered up. The Servo Plug from the BEC will be powering the RX.. so the red wire is not needed on the esc. This is how you use a BEC.

RAPPID EMPIRE because of the amount of precision and engineering that goes into these models. Manufacturing/buying all the parts aren’t cheap either. There’s clearly a market for these for hobbyists. People enjoy playing with them.
