As a designer I noticed this small change in hue and thought i was going crazy or my screen was bugging lol. I understand them wanting to update their brand after some time, especially the full bright red to something less intense, but yeah its weird they did this without updating their brand guide, truly weird and chaotic.

Agreed, adding a slight magenta gradient on the pure or ig "KZbin" red can help distinguish the little red dot from the rest of the play bar. Not only that, but using magenta instead of something like crimson or orange allows for the brightness of red to be maintained visually. Making pure red lighter just makes a salmon kinda color, but adding a bit of that magenta gives it that oomf.

@@Bedic-Mag why can't they KZbin is their company they can do anything with it.youtube has undergone multiple minor changes throughout the years why does this one have to be linked with KZbin's unablity to improve moderation it's not really taking a lot of time of theirs it's just a very minor change I doubt it hinders anything other in the KZbin development procedure.alao for the people thinking their screen in broken it's honestly pretty dumb I myself included thought that maybe some glitch occured in my screen at first so I opened up a few videos and saw it was in all of the videos then I just moved the screen (scrolled) to see if it's an area related bug but no nothing of that sort you can really just figure out it's a new KZbin thing in a matter of minutes unless your dumb ofcourse. For the colorblind it's also pretty easily diagnosable by just pulling up red on Google and seeing it.for the last point it's very weak if KZbin needed for people to talk about it wouldn't they use the main KZbin account to talk about it and not some random other account

KZbin doesn't have to follow their own branding rules, but, imagine if someone took a screenshot or copied the image that they are providing on this site, to use for their website or for something else. A person who directly uses the magenta-infused KZbin logo in a news article or anywhere else is technically breaking those said rules they haven't updated.
