Awesome video. I am small KZbinr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

@@Arcaphobia You need to maintain 4000 watch hours - and only public videos counts towards that. But you can set some videos as unlisted (provided that with the rest you're still above 4000 hours). Then you do not lose your monetization and at the same time you can sell access to unlisted videos.

We think that the total would "roll over". Example; you make $60 month1 and don't receive a payment. You again make $60 in month2. In month3 you would receive a payment of $120 (month1+month2). Could you do a video on how to figure out what kind of content to post, as well as how to figure out the algorithm for KZbin? I see a lot of people who make content videos and say they get ideas by researching what people look up the most on KZbin, but they don't say how to actually do it. I'm a new content creator and I've kind of figured out my niche for my channel, but I'm trying to figure out how to drive traffic to my channel to get those watch hours..

So your channel needs to have 1000 subscribers and your account needs to have 4000 watch hours basically if you started your channel over a year ago or posted a video over a year ago you can still get monetized all you need to do is have 4000 watch hours in under a year

I love your channel! Great job! I just got monetized and I was lucky that it only took about 3 days of review. After four days of monetization, my channel has a CPM of $8.20, but KZbin takes 45%, so my personal CPM will be about $4.50. For now, I just automated KZbin ads on my videos and included all formats of commercials. Have you discovered if there's a better way to do this? Great, straightforward easy to follow information video. I also like the way you have edited your video. It makes the 'steps' easy to visually follow. I wish there were a lot of other creators out there who edited like you do. Help me out here.......I'm stuck. I wanted to take your advice and sign up for AdSense, early so that I could be ahead of the game. However, I seem to be running into some sort of roadblock. If, as you say we could and should sign up for AdSense early (so that we are ahead of the game) I find that NOT to be the case for my channel. I followed the steps all the way up to here 3:32, under the YT Creator Studio tab. I'm then taken to the Monetization tab. On that page the only thing that is 'checked' is, "YTPP Accepted" at the top of the checklist. The next thing I see is, "AdSense Requested" w/ a 'Start' tab in blue. Great. I tap that and it takes me to another Monetization page that then, says: "You will be redirected to AdSense to link your existing AdSense account or create a new one if you do not have one yet. Once you have completed this process, you will be redirected back to KZbin". Guess what......I never get 'redirected back to YT'??? Underneath that the ENTIRE LEFT SIDE OF THE PAGE it is completely blank. There is absolutely nothing there except for a tiny, "Next" tab at the bottom. So, now what? What do I do or where did I go wrong? Please explain. Thank You.

sadly KZbin has changed things since I made this video. they now put ads on videos from creators that aren't eligible for monetization yet but you don't make that money... they do. it's so crappy in my opinion! but you'll make money off those videos once you are monetized but you don't make anything off the views you received before you were monetized if that makes sense

What if you have the requirements met a day or 2 after your year ? Does it start your watch hours over ?when does the year start when you upload video or make KZbin account ? Hope this makes sense a little confusing . Thanks

You may already know the answer to this question now, as you now have over 1000K subs, good for you! But we will try to help just in case you need it still. The "year" sort of works in reverse. Once you have 1K subs and 4000 watch hours (and the other requirements) KZbin will automatically begin your review process. Put another way; after you have 1K subs your watch hours requirement is satisfied once you have 4000 watch hours in any 12 month period after that. Hope it helps, all the best!

They changed the rules for Adsense, because I tried to set up everything and at some point it stopped me and said I hadn’t reach the requirements to be monetized. Then I watched a video from KZbin that explain the change. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Ohhh I didn't know that they made the change! Last week someone just said they created their account before they met the guidelines. So that's weird! But thank you for letting me and everyone else know!

You can create it but they won’t verify your address and account until after I’m assuming.

Thanks for your video. Unfortunately, It seems easy but it's not. Today, is my first year anniversary as a creator and today, I was rejected again. It's hard and embarrassing to share this but I just want to lighten the load I'm feeling right now. I was rejected 5 times due to reused content. I deleted some videos that I feel like the cause of that. I work really hard for my videos but KZbin still thinks it's a reused content. Today, i was rejected again for the same reason. They can't even specifically tell me which video/videos is/are reused. I feel like giving up. I'm so sad and down. To other people trying your best on KZbin, I'm hoping the best for you. Good luck.
