In 1973 we built a six cylinder engine. At Camp Pendleton hobby shop. It was a 1970 model Cuda.We bored it out to a 302 w/pop up pistons. Ground the head and polished. Put the largest cam we could order in. Added duel points and a holly eight fifty. Changed the Transmission from three speed to four speed. Changed the rear third member to a four eleven positive track. We had split headers with duel pipes out the rear. Exhaust pipes were the red slender wood pecker mufflers. Definitely a sleeper. Plain metal flake blue paint job in real nice condition. Factory small hub caps with trim rings on wheels. Goodyear fifteenth inch wheels. I wished I could have pictures. The car was given to me. They didn’t change their oil but twice. Forty thousand miles on odometer. She had a air conditioner and the hot summers in California was just to much for the traffic stop and go idling for the piston rings on old havelin. Scorched the cylinders. I sold the car to a East LA low rider that worked on base. I made him promise to change the oil every six months using Quaker State thirty weight oil. SEMPER FIDELIS

75 I prowled the streets of Pendelton and Oceanside ina 69 A12 440x6 Superbee...410 Dana .. was a 4spd but I converted to a Torqueflight with a stall kit. oh yeah.. good ol days!

so I had my first car for a month and it got stolen at a Van Halen concert in 1979. I was able to buy a 72 Challenger 318 in this color for $1800 from the insurance money. Car was in perfect condition

Man will bugs me ugh lol. Etch primer for all you people is a phosphoric acid based solvent not a catalyst based primer. The acid etches to the metal stopping rust from happening or in old metal that had rust on it it’s slows it tremendously. Etch prime also can cause delamination in subsequent coatings it not applied properly.
