I got the annual plan last March. Did KZbin tell me to get another year this March? Nope they only told me about the $18.99 per month plan. But I went to my accountant/membership page and renewed another year. The fee went from $120 to $140.

Thank you Michael! I learned in the first 1:20 of your video the answer to a question that has been annoying me for weeks: KZbin Premium does NOT auto-renew. I've been trying to cancel all of my deceased parent's memberships/subscriptions for weeks, most of which auto-renew. Other videos show that you're supposed to click on Manage Membership to cancel or deactivate. His account never had this option. Great video.

Awesome video, you just saved me some money. Im on android and it was easy to switch. I just cancelled it and it tells me it will end at the end of February. Then there is a renue button, i clicked that and it gave me the option for the annual. So now my plan ends the end of February of next year. I did it through the KZbin app by the way if you guys are wondering.

I agree, I had a 6 month KZbin Premium free trial a few years back and I did use KZbin music to download the odd song that isn’t on Spotify, but I certainly wouldn’t pay for it. I’d happily pay £5-£8 a month to remove ads from KZbin though, and I’m pretty sure millions of others would too

Yeah I've known about this asinine issue but the real problem for me is there is no Family Annual Plan. Unfortunately YTP is not the only 'hidden' if you want to call that annual plan for streaming. Others you must also cancel and then switch to annual.

I do agree that we should be able to switch from monthly to annual Premium without canceling it first, i just find it so annoying as well as the amount of Ads that i have to deal without it, plus it sucks horribly that it’s only individually and not for family members as well so KZbin really needs to add it for our families too.

OK, I plan to put this theory to the test on December 31. My 1-month free trial expires Jan. 1, 2024. I signed onto the PREMIUM plan for $13.99 and yes, I see no way to top-up to the annual plan. WEIRD! And I haven't received any email reminders of the upcoming expiration. So, it looks like I will have to CANCEL Dec. 31.

I can't believe how much money I wasted on KZbin in the past. I wish I could get all that money back. I canceled premium a few months ago and never looked back. I can live with the ads, they're not that bad. I just didn't think the cost justified being ad-free. I wanted to cut expenses. I felt cheated in a way as premium does nothing to block paid sponsorships which are basically ads. Really didn't feel like I got my money's worth.

What may make it worth it. You can shut the screen off when listening at night. Great when you want to listen to your favorites when in bed and trying to fall asleep in a dark room. I had it for a number of years at $ 9.99. Cancelled when it jumped to $ 13.99. Mulling over subscribing via annual plan.

It does way more than ads. Ads I hardly care about. It's the music... downloads ... and shutting off ur phone while still playing the video or music.

Its so bad. We need a new platform entirly. A copy of youtube but better and free. These companys get payed by ads and then want us to pay them to hide the ads. Its theft. I dont agree with it nor the absurd price of $10+ a month . The only way we can escape these prices is by someone like elon buying yt and making fair community polls or we all just stop buying it. Which wont happen so the first option is all we have.

Thanks for the heads up Michael. I'm currently monthly. I suppose I like YTP enough to pay up front for 2024. Strange how the cost of yearly YTP matches cost of yearly Prime Video to which I'm already subscribed. I'm checking out reviews of MAX and Netflix. So far it seems to be a choice of which one sucks less :)

Here’s the flip side…. You do annual, decide you don’t like it and want to cancel. Will it be easy to get a refund on unused time? Can you get someone on the phone? How can you get confirmation (from a human) that all your issues are addressed? Not every website has all the answers on their “Q&A” sections

I've got to admit their price increase this year pissed me off. They didn't even make a pretense argument it was due to rising employees' wages, costs, etc. In fact they squeezed hard this year on their content contributors, cutting payments to many of them. IMO a naked move to up the bottom line-which they are within their rights to do, but don't expect a shred of loyalty from us customers..
