I, too, love Katie Hopkins AND Andrew Lawrence, who both have the guts to say what I’m thinking! I can’t abide the ridiculous wokery, and they provide some sanity! I love a relatively new channel, Locks and Landscapes, a couple who sold their house and bought a canal boat. They are just so ordinary, hilarious and down to earth, nothing rehearsed, just normality. I’ve also taken to Steve and Carol Vano, who do travelling vlogs - again, wonderfully unpolished, and ‘normal’. I don’t necessarily want to learn anything, I just want to feel good having watched a vlog, and both of these channels do just that! Thanks Caroline! 👍

My recommendations are: 1. Holly the Cafe Boat - a young couple Jo & Vic who have a toddler and run a cafe boat while living on another narrow boat. They sell coffee and cakes from Holly the Cafe boat and brought out a cook book. 2. What Julie loves. A lady based in Yorkshire who tries on clothes, makeup and talks about lifestyle for the over 50s 3. All the ladies - clothing try ons and cruelty- free make-up and product testing. 4. Emma Cruises - cruising content but very professionally done and engaging. 5. Foxes Afloat - a married male couple Colin and Shaun who used to live on a narrow boat but now live in a remote part of Scotland and have bees, an owl and other animals. They also have a mental health channel. 6. Mid-life Cruising. An American couple who are now living permanently on one of the first residential cruise ships - Villa Vie Oddysey. The videos follow where the ship goes on its 3.5 year round the world cruise.

Always good to get KZbin recommendations. Most of your audience’s recommendations I’ve dipped in and out of. My recommendation is a small channel that I’ve only discovered recently Cheryl, life at 50. A lovely lady, lives with her husband and their beloved dog Willow. She is currently doing vlogs taking us through journey of selling their apartment to move to a bungalow as her husband who is older than her has some health issues. He is lovely and is so witty. Cheryl has such a calming voice and they seem to have such a lovely relationship, Looking forward to see all the renovations to their new home within a budget. They’ve had such a tough time recently and cope with everything so positively.

On my regular list is of course you, Carla Jenkins and Bad Biscuit. I also love Escape to Rural France, Dan restoring a chateau that was basically a burnt out shell has a lot of history as it sheltered children during WW2.. He's doing such an amazing job. Plus The Moons, Nick and Jennie Moon with 4 boys who again in France but rescue champion horses (and lots of other animals) that would sadly have a death sentence because they've served their purpose. Heartbreaking at times but so joyous as well. The Moons are a feel good factor family, kids running in the fields and such a good cause.

Hi Caroline, you mentioned quite a number of the KZbinrs that I follow. Cruising theme: I really like FraserAtSea as his presentations are so well done, and included info re the ports visited. Similar channels are Paul and Carole Travel, and Emmacruises. Previously you mentioned the Expawers who I still watch, they are in Scotland at the moment after changing their travel plans because of family sadness (they live in Andalusia) and have bought some land in Portugal which they are in the process if bringing back to life. Like you I love Mr Carrington, his content is so calming along with his theme tune. I do get annoyed at some channels who do not seem to include subjects that you would expect from their thumbnail! I live near Manchester airport so over a cuppa watch that live - a number of dramas lately! I’m trying to get back flying! Thank you for the subscriber update. Great video Caroline, some fab recommendations. ❤ Katie Hopkins is very divisive, but she's not afraid to stick her head above the parapet and I admire her for that. We live in a world where people tend to shout their views into an echo chamber and slap down anybody who swims against the tide. On such matters, I love Mr Menno, a gay man who is a feminist and calls out the creeping erosion of womens rights. He is very intelligent, talks a lot of sense and is often hilarious - check out his song parodies. His version of Living Next Door To Alice made me spit out my coffee. 😂😂😂 He gives me hope in this crazy and scary world. 👍❤

You are so right about the echo chamber effect - you can see it in the comment section on this video re Katie H. I feel like wanting to watch or read something that challenges our own views or makes us rethink our perspective is a thing of the past now, and the world is a worse place for it.
