The foster family and the biological parents are damn monsters, if there was no law against dealing out justice I think we all know what we would do to them. Only way to stop these monsters is to make an example out of them to scare the other monsters in my opinion not some bs life in prison, that isn't real justice. If our governments started bringing out the classic ways of justice and some modern creative ways and air it on livestreams/television it would become an effective deterrent. As much as we like to think we are civilized I think most of us would tune in to watch real monsters get what they deserve, there is no redemption for them.

It's insane how well equipped and trained the cartels really are. They make the militaries of most nations in the world look weak by comparison. My home country of México has so much resources and great people. We would be a great nation if we could just get our cartel problem under control, but as you saw with El Chapo's son... whenever brave people rise up to the cartels, it doesn't end well for them. The cartels say, "Take the silver, or take the lead", meaning that you're on their side, or they'll kill you. I don't know how things will ever get better.

I remember that event was thought to be orchestrated by the goverment themselves, since it was such a stupid move to do in order to make themselves to be the heroes while the citizens were scared shitless of what might happen (If I remember correctly, this happened soon after the current president took the chair) Culiacán is well known to be run by narcos, like, you can stroll freely through the city and all, but rest assured that the guy selling fruit that's looking at you funny is actually an informant; you know? Even the cops themselves are probably corrupt anyway.

One of the darkest things in this entire video is that when it was released, the Turpins were *still* victims of abuse, this time by the foster system. The Courts appointed a random stranger their legal guardian and gave them exclusive control of all of the money donated for the victims' use.

@@victoriaross3263Yes they can. With time and attention by someone who cares. Sure, some of them will slip through the cracks, but out of those 13, I'd say at least 6 will be educated enough to be able to hold jobs and maybe get families of their own. The next thing would be to make sure that abuse doesn't turn full circle. There's this well known poet named Anne Sexton who was abused by her own father from 15-16 before she and her mother got away from him, many years later she apologized for what she did to her own daughter. Going into her daughter's room at night and not doing anything to her, according to her and her daughter both, but just asking for her daughter's shoulder to cry on. Not her as a daughter but as if she were a lover. This is what we'd call "covert incest" in the sense that it is not incest at all or abuse at all, it is entirely different and is entirely below-the-surface in the way the abuse happens. You see, she knew what she was doing to her daughter, making her essentially become her emotional bag of which she could dump all her failings and all her worries into. Simply because she hated her own husband and hated her father even more. Yet she didn't stop herself.

Well the minors can't control it. Courts appoint fiduciaries all the time for people who are not able to manage their own funds. The money will likely be turned over to each child as they turn 18. Some parents don't even hold onto money intended for their children and blow through it.

The fact that Darrell Brookes did what he did at a Christmas parade makes it even worse for me as someone who cherishes Christmas as the one true happiest time of the year. So many people spent their holidays in the hospital because of him, and six families lost a member, one of them losing a child, who was no doubt looking forward to Christmas. What Darrell did is unforgivable on its own, but it becomes so much more unforgivable because he ruined Christmas for so many. And the people who let him go and allowed this to happen are a fine example of what a joke the legal system so often is.

I followed the entire Darrell Brooks trial which is an insane watch on its own but the fact is that he never shows any kind of remorse or guilt about any of his victims except for one. The 6 year old boy he murdered. While going over the medical examiners report, Darrell was visibly upset and had to be excused from the court room, when asked why he was upset he stated that that moment was extremely emotional for him and heavy. I think that’s the most interesting part of the trial because it shows just how evil he is. He chose not to feel guilty at all over the lives he took, but just couldn’t do it when it came to the little boy. He’s been sentenced to something like 300 years behind bars and I hope he spends every second of it being tormented by what he did. The man’s a monster

Actually, they say we all have Godly and Devilish tendencies in us and so are divided(Saints & Devils) and in between there is Shiva!(The lord). We can never stop what is bound to happen but we can only learn to react to a particular incident in our life and all that shapes our destiny. So, I know you feel sad but be strong. We cannot do much about it. We too will leave one day, till then just try to spread love and stay sane. 🙏

My heart goes out to this brave girl and to her poor siblings. It's always a failure of our society if children have to live like this. Sadly, the aftermath of the case is not surprising, not only that the kids were put in another abusive home, but also that the older kids were basically just thrown out to the streets after their hospital stays. It's something you will often find if you read up on even the most (in)famous cases of abused children, that the authorities act, once the public is interested, but as soon as that hot phase is over the negligence and sometimes even abuse starts again. I mean, clearly many of those cases would need at least years of care and protection, in the case of the Turpin family, what is especially infuriating is that there was a judge-appointed caretaker AND there were large funds available from donations for the kids and still some live or at least lived on the streets.

We had a ‘dancing man’ in our city, they called him Dancing Dan, but the local law makers didn’t appreciate his performances. They somehow made it illegal to dance on street corners, claiming it posed a distraction to drivers. Surprisingly the community took his side and pressured the city councillors to let him dance. Soon enough he was free to dance to his heart’s desire. A couple years later he stopped showing up to his regular corner. I don’t know what happened to him since. I hope he is okay.

Sadly, we are in dire need of foster families. I currently have 4 fosters myself. Our original plan was just 2 but there just aren't enough families. The system has gotten better working with the families to get them housing and addiction help so less children are removed but even with that assistance there are many kids needing good foster homes. The system is severely lacking, foster families, staff, resources. There isn't enough. It's only getting far worse, now we are wondering what will become of the ones in need of care along with the kids coming over the borders that will need placement. By no means is this an excuse for such foul foster homes. We need more workers and families for these innocent children. There isn't enough staff to do scheduled visits, lots of kids needing placement, many have special needs making placement even harder. 3 of my 4 have special needs on top of my own son. As long as there is a shortage of resources these awful foster homes will be overlooked. CPS can't force people to take in children yet many can't be left with their biological parents. My family is under so much pressure to take in 2 more fosters and we just don't have the means. You can have 6 to 1 bedroom but I can't do that. I'm literally at my limit with all the appointments and therapy. We need more good people willing to help. As long as we don't have it things like this will keep happening.

The last time I saw him was 2000-2001 at a summer party. He was still very much wild and goofy then, which was embarrassing for his family. It seemed like he was covering up some pain, and he was an outsider. When I heard the news about the murder, I was shocked but not surprised. It makes me sad that no one could help him or prevent these things from happening. I was reminded of this incident recently and found this video. Didn't know about the street dancing, but that totally was something I could imagine him doing. I hope he gets the help he needs and that the family of the victim finds peace. I live relatively close to where the Turpin case occurred, and used to work at the hospital where half the kids were sent after their escape (in a non-medical role). It was surreal that they were there as everyone was trying hard to not pay attention to them, the hospital was trying to keep it on the down low and didn't allow staff or the public near them, to the point of shutting down hallways when they went to various locations. There were times they were allowed to go into a courtyard, which was viewable from a specific hallway on each if the floors. The crazy part is, unless you KNEW who theh were (in which they were all over the news here at that point), you wouldn't have known they were forced to live such horrible conditions. You would think they were just some random, happy people who were there to visit a family member who was an employee.

People will give some lip service words to the "courage" of that girl, and it most definitely is courageous. But it's probably not possible for us to fully grasp what she was going through. It's more than courage. It was probably so overwhelming that the closest example we might understand is something like a near death experience, spiritual awakening, psychedelic experience, rebirth, etc. It's kinda wild to watch it because she handles herself incredibly well.

seth's story reminded me about my mother. we've been living together for over two years and at this time some of the most traumatic events in my life took place. she is diagnosed with schizophrenia and during those years her delusions became more and more violent. it was really painful to see her mental state deteriorating and even more horrifying to be a target during them. this is insane how mental illness can turn once loving and caring person into a cold and cruel monster. luckily, unlike seth she got professional help and spent some time in a psych ward, so it hasn't gone that far. she is doing a lot better now. if only he got the help he needed, it might've ended better for both his ex boyfriend and himself.

As someone who likes linguistics and the process of acquiring language one can easily tell how Jordan wasn't able to speak properly, not only because of how nervous she was but also because all the language exchange she'd probably had up to that point was with her siblings who probably hadn't talked to any outsider in their whole lives either.

The fact that Jordan had empathy and compassion for her little sisters and the way she released a lot of her pain through song convinced me even more than we do have a soul and we carry with us a lot of knowledge and growth from our previous lives and that she is so extremely powerful and radiant on the inside that she managed not only to save her siblings through such adversity, but she also had an innate desire to do goodness despite all the evil surrounding her each day and the state of disrepair of her environment. She truly is a hero and the light she radiates from within is truly beautiful.

Watching the Dancing Man section reminded me at first of a guy who we had near where I live. We called him "Dancing Steve" and he would regularly be seen strutting his stuff on the street, or on public transport, and he always waved to people who called out to him. He was something of a local legend, although nobody really knew that much about him. It turned out he suffered from a psychological disorder and, thanks to the way mental health issues are only paid lip service here, he was just left to his own devices, right up until the day he was found dead in a hostel. There was no investigation as nothing looked suspicious, he'd simply died from natural causes, probably as the result of not properly looking after himself

all you need is evidence and proof that you're waiting for something to happen. street justice is the only justice. nobody respects a cop as much as a stranger in a bad mood. more than once has street justice solved things like this, experience or second hand, you know it's true. BUT. if the cops and governments actually cared about your individual welfare, these situations would be extremely rare and only the genuinely crazy people will surprise us, showing the obvious brain malfunctions they exhibit. hear me out... what if... what if all these psychos, sickos and depraved inhumans were put into jobs they'll excel at and we don't have to subject our normal brains to it? torture could be thier thing. locked in a cell, minimal but healthy food, when a torture subjet arrives, they can't be killed or prevented from thinking/talking and hearing and if they are, the psycho is dispatched of swiftly. put the sickos onto computers so they can find cp stuff without being scarred like the rest of us. we subject ourselves to horror and terror, while removing those who are least affected by these things. barring that, with nobody to help at all, retalliated Exit Minecraft strategies are usually best. near me, a dude went into a pub, beat an old man who was dying of cancer, broke teeth and shit, ended up being murdered on his own doorstep for it. middle aged man attacked visciously a literal old dying man, and was swiftly prevented from doing it again because an assault charge is all he got. so it got fixed. knowing that's the outcome where i live, would you really want to get caught doing anything like chaining and starving kids? no justice, like street justice. and it's usually eye for an eye. even things out between people. it was only few weeks ago someone "jumped" off a footbridge-flyover on the motorway next to me (30ft high-ish) in the middle of the night and died on impact. maybe. my point is... it's nice to be nice. so when someone is off, it's more noticable. just as you notice strangers in the street, you notice someone you know, is being really different than others. not syndrome different. i mean... really different. turns out, i was friends with someone who's brother was really into cp, and as a result, i can't trust that friend because there's no way that wasn't already known about or even something that was totally hidden. every time someone is like that, there's always someone outside that circle who either knows, or thinks they know and either way... waiting.... isn't how it should be done. it should be storming the place, and matter of fact go through everything digital / hard copy and anything close to the accusation should either get immediate arrests, or instant regret. we're not talking about a stolen game here. this isn't stolen food. this is more of a morality control. put 200 people in a room, and inform everybody, someone there is into cp and has made cp... that's 199 people who will figure out very quickly who it is. truly immoral people should be removed from our collective respect and care. throw them into the desert and let the sands consume them. drop them in the ocen and just watch them swim. they should be providing us with humiliating entertainment at thier distress. they're not human. if you can actually HIT a child, especially one under 12, you're really broken and insecure about your own life. i say 12 because some kids get really cocky and sometimes, a good whack from a parent is a reminder that they're not incapable of being hurt and they're not capable of understanding that for a while. beating them is way worse... hit to me is a harsh slap. a raw backside. it's not multiple whacks or repeated strikes. open hand stinger, gives great pain signals and does little to no damage beyond the shock of such a hit. and again, not suggesting it for fun, i'm saying that some kids need a slap, that's just a fact. even a man, being slapped, is more humiliating and painful than being punched and getting a broken orbital or missing teeth. that's why those dude slapping fights are kinda popular. anyway. i'm done typing now. none of this is useful. ignore me, if my opinion meant anything, i wouldn't be in a minority who think this in broad strokes. it's not a lecture but that wall of text is really dawning on me now. so...
