Even Lazier (in terms of cooking it yourself, or the lack thereof) man's Orange Chicken: Go to Panda Express and order orange chicken That may be a bit more expensive, but it usually comes out right (in fast food terms). Yea accurate though if you can still find the sauce being sold anywhere (including Panda Express food court/mall or sit down locations, I think that's where I found our bottle of that sauce). Alternate recipe: Bag of popcorn chicken/chicken nuggets and a bottle of Panda Express Orange Chicken sauce. Stir, put on rice or noodles, and enjoy.

I worked at Maccies a few years back, and those nuggets look like the undercooked kind that came out as a result of fresh, colder oil that has yet to properly come to temperature. As someone who makes 陳皮雞 (Orange Chicken) very frequently, the red flags are popping up left and right. August is correct, rice vinegar is best for Asian cuisine. (Distilled vinegar works as well, as along as it’s measured correctly…Jack😂). Traditionally when making sauce for this dish, you’ll want to make it on the stove and use a corn starch based paste at the start of your recipe to get the thick ‘jelly’-like coating and flavor. It’s actually a very easy dish to make all together! But whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT USE KETCHUP! 😭

My brother used to work at an “ Americanized Chinese” place and taught me to me make sweet n sour chicken. From what I recall the sauce was pineapple juice, ketchup , vinegar and cornstarch ( maybe a little soy sauce or brown sugar). You would be surprised. Some people have only really ever had horrible food. You can tell who those people are because they always have to add stuff, like ketchup or ranch, to everything they eat. Some people will say they absolutely hate something, like meatloaf or lasagna but often it's because they grew up in a house where the person who cooked REALLY didn't cook those things right but since that's what they had, they think to supposed to just not taste good. I mean, as far as orange chicken goes, he’s really not that far off. Does need soy sauce though. Also, brown sugar will dissolve, you just have to boil it. This sauce needs to be made with a slurry too. It’s just a dumb way to do the whole thing.

Orange Chicken Sauce: 1 cup Orange Juice ½ cup Sugar 2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar or White Vinegar 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce use tamari for a gluten-free dish ¼ teaspoon Ginger ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder or 2 garlic cloves, finely diced ½ teaspoon Red Chili Flakes Orange Zest from 1 orange 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch its like he ran down the list of ingredients and was left with just Orange Juice and Vinegar. This is a super niche thing, but I love your videos and it's also because your pronunciation is very clear. My first language isn't english, and while I'm fluent at it, some accents still throw me off. But the way you say thing is not only comforting!
