*Afterthoughts & Addenda* *"It's pronounced 'eye-cloud'* 🙄 iSuggest you look a little more closely at what the scammer actually wrote. iThink you might have missed something. iWonder if you can tell what it is... *You should make a video about [some other type of scam]* - I appreciate the suggestion, but if you've not seen a video about some specific category of scam from me, it's probably because I haven't encountered it. I tend to make videos about things I have experienced, because I can talk (somewhat) meaningfully from that experience. As to *why* I haven't seen certain categories of scam - I expect they are tailoring/targeting based on the audience profile (people mention them being common on Minecraft videos), or perhaps keywords/hashtags in the video title that I don't tend to use.

Maybe demand their newborns to have recommendations as names in fine print conditions. 😉 On a more serious note, this just blows my mind. Instant Transmission Across the Dimensional Plane Jane. I invested $500 with her and was tossed screaming into the void, body twisted and stretched in incomprehensible ways as a billion eons, a trillion lives played before my eyes, and in a moment of terrifying understanding I realized that each were my own, each birth, death, and too short life a fragmentary aspect of my own self expressed through the indelible patterns of the multiverse. My consciousness flickered, and I found myself in my chair once more, mere seconds after the investment, and Jane had already gotten me a return of $8450 US moneys. I would absolutely recommend her for to you be invest with.

Anyone else notice some recent spam reply comments where they have some pornography/camgirl related profile pic and username like "click link in bio" or something. They reply to normal user-generated comments with things that seem related to the video, but completely unrelated to the comment they're replying to. It’s amazing how much more believable these bots would be if they automated incredulity. Like, “Why are you guys talking about investing on a video that has nothing to do with investing?” “Idk, but at least Ms. Airplane Jane is a fairly decent investor. Still weird you guys all got together to talk about her for two minutes nonstop.”
@grubbygeorge2117
@grubbygeorge2117 2 жыл бұрын
It’d be more believable if they didn’t all use the exact same sentence structure and grammar too. Some should use full sentences. Some should capitalise but abandon punctuation. Some should abandon capitalisation altogether. Spelling mistakes that’re not made by other bots would also give a stronger impression that it’s not all been written by one person. They likely do this for a reason, though. As often with these kinds of “cheap” scams, the initial bait is made somewhat believable, but still absurd enough that the only people who’ll message them are the types to fall for it. If they gave the impression of a real investor to someone who otherwise wouldn’t fall for it but the person catches up on the red flags throughout the WhatsApp conversation, that’s wasted time for them.

I've seen another (very annoying) form of KZbin spam in the past few weeks, with a similar username trick. It seems to take the form of the bot replying to my own top-level comment on any video from a high-viewcount channel up to a few months old - the spam comment itself will be coherent, witty, and relevant to the video - so I believe they are copypastes of real comments, probably those with a lot of upvotes. The profile pic and username will invariably be of an attractive young lady, directing readers to her profile page where they will find content linking to (very likely fake) dating sites. Sometimes this content will be masqueraded inside a KZbin Playlist, but it's always prominent as the rest of the profile is empty.

Yeah, they copy other comments from elsewhere in the comment section, so they're usually somewhat on-topic even if they don't make sense as a reply. Sometimes it works well enough for people to see it as a real comment and reply.

The most interesting thing about this is that someone had to write an entire script for 20 bots and make it sure it delivers in right order so it doesn't fail. That by itself must be a really huge project to make and are most likely a bought investment from scammers. Investment that really works on two or three people who really think it's legit. Edit: So it's actually not that difficult to make one. Alright, If you read this comment, there's already people who said it's easy so you don't have to say it yourself.

THESE are the spambots you see? I've been consistently getting automatic replies of the following format: [User name implying a girl doing live streams for adults in her channel, or outright offering sex] [A comment copy-posted from a legit poster] The contents of the comments change because they just copy others' comments on the video itself, so they SEEM on topic, though it's obviously not because there's no reason for anyone to write a reply to my comment directly addressing the content creator, while my comment is nothing special or popular to address the channel owner. The user names also change because they got a metric ton of burner accounts. This thing is quite annoying and new. I came across a comments chain like you showed in the end of the video just once. 3 or 4 replies to a comment of mine having a weird unnaturally rich conversation over the span of an hour or so, about 30 minutes between each reply.

I have been traumatised by being forced to change my name numerous times and praise dubious scammers, when all I really want to do is redirect you to my channel with a vaguely pornographic profile. When will the horror end? Does no-one think of the neverborn in this situation? When will we be allowed to simply dupicate other people's comments and advertise dubious services with simple, good, old fashioned empty promises again?
