The literal same exact thing happened to me, "Aria Math by Fuji IV", I am PISSED. This dude literally copyrighted a copyright free song that isn't even his. I disputed the claim and it still hasn't gone through. I contacted C418 and TeamKZbin on Twitter. This is ridiculous. If this problem continues I may need stop using background music in my videos entirely.

This has happened to me a couple of times. I disputed it, they never responded, and the claim expired in 30 days. The escrow means that Google is holding the money until the dispute is resolved. If they don't respond, you get the money. Another thing is that if you contact C418 about it, there's a possibility he may help you. I've heard he has helped others in the past, but it's difficult to say. Who claimed it, by the way?

it was claimed by someone named Fuji IV i believe. after further investigation they have a remix on spotify and youtube of the song. I'll try to reach out and see what happens I guess.

@@zombieplays9 I had something similar happen. It was a channel that was doing lo-fi remixes of songs, including one of the Minecraft songs. I disputed it, they never responded, and full monetization was returned to me when the dispute expired. These people are just putting out copyright claims to make money off of others. When confronted with a dispute with legal terms, a reference to the actual copyright holder (C418), and they don't seem to know what to do. This is why I never use Minecraft music anymore. I license through Epidemic Sound, and if anything is claimed, they take care of it.

Hopefully I got my point across. I am really tired and upset and just found out this happened again. TL;DR: people are falsely claiming music as their own to make money off of other people's content. After doing further research, youtube thinks the content came from someone named fuji IV i think... will keep yall posted.
