I must say...out of all the KZbin tutorials yours are the most in depth when it comes to the fundamentals. My fades are at a point where many would probably stop watching tutorials but I still find the small gem reading in between the lines(no pun intended). Also gotta show you some KZbin love. Thanks again boss

Eddie absolute fantastic video as always! Loved the outtakes too, very funny! What's annoying is if you search "how to skin fade" in KZbin your video from 3 years ago comes up. I wish youtube would list your new content as its evolved so much in the top 10 search list. By far the best tutorial content out there with no stone left unturned. 👌

Do you recommend zero gapping your clippers and trimmers as a beginner?
@martinporras2670 Жыл бұрын
yes. you don't literally need to zero gap them. if you only have one of each its better to set them slightly back from "zero gap" to not damage the skin. it'll also be hard to take out the skin line if the clipper isn't zero gapped. I wouldn't use the trimmer to set the bald line at first either. good luck

I purchased the Oster 76 and a bunch of their blades (also the guard attachments) thinking it was the best, after watching your videos I noticed that it doesn’t have the lever (open, close) Can I still achieve that perfect fade using a clipper without it? If so, what size blades would be equal to open/close? Those blades are not cheap!! Hope my question makes sense.

It can be done and it IS done. The BEST way for speed and quality you Need a clipper with adjustable blade. The oysters Andries. Detachables are best for removing bulk.

Do I need a new cutting blade, with the Gamma+ new blade? Does the still blade do the work? I have a pair of Evos, with the Ultimate blade, it doesn't hit. I've tried it with the Detailer looking blade too, it didn't hit either.

After zero gapping my Wahl Detailer with the Wahl zero gap tool is FIRE! however no matter how much I try to use light pressure and stretch out the skin on the neck, it's still irritating the skin...is there anything else I can do(other then leaving another trimmer set back?) I'd rather not buy a third trimmer as I like to have a set ready between clients to save time and I do believe in 10 min disinfection between clients... ( feel like I'm the only one out there..LOL!)

What’s the equivalent guard size between going forward and going against the grain ? What’s the size difference to make a smooth transition with no lines? For instance.. if I’m coming down the top of the sides with the grain with a 3 guard ..I’m coming up from a 0 fade from the bottom of side ? What will blend into the 3 perfectly going against the grain going up ?… what’s the standard size difference in guards between going against and with the grain to make a perfect blend ?
@TheSlumlord6352 жыл бұрын
I’d say probably a 4-4 1/2 but you’d have better success going clippers over comb because there’s gonna be certain areas that the 4 won’t lift
