@@GalinaEv It's not really that fishy, it was pretty clear from the start that Oompa, no matter how well-intentioned he was, was in WAY over his head. He'd never run even a small business before, and suddenly put himself at the head of an entire multistage manufacturing chain. This isn't to blame Oompa, because you hear a lot of stories like this - running an operation like this is deceptively complex. But that doesn't mean he was necessarily making very good decisions from the get-go.

My father bought a small business in the hopes of making some money to help put me and my two siblings through college but it was bought just a few months before COVID began. I'm not entirely convinced that he was scammed in this case, I think Xelderon was probably just having a try at establishing his own business, possibly at the same time as his existing employment, and just ended up getting overwhelmed. I know the feeling of pressure to set up your own venture while keeping up the impossible task of plate spinning with an existing, already stressful job. The fact that the rig is physically there, though incomplete tells me that this was probably never meant as a scam, most likely the guy was completely out of his depth. The Gatcha addiction seems like an unhealthy coping mechanism, and the pneumonia could have been a legitimate stress-induced condition. It's important to mention too, that some people, myself included just aren't naturally good at project and stress management, and will prefer to try to hide a lack of progress, with the intention of making up for it before anyone notices, rather that being open about it and planning your way out of the issues faced. I'd seriously consider your position here, because if I'm right, this guy will have already been at rock bottom and now is getting called a scammer and has an internet hate mob after him. Not saying that what he did was right, just I'm looking at this situation and thinking that despite maybe having the best of intentions, that could easily have been me.
