I think instead of telling them which idea is who's you guys should propose each of the ideas together as anonymous and then they can pick which plan they like better. Then you can tell them who it belongs to after they pick. That way they won't feel so bad when they choose one over the other. Just a thought.

i see what you're saying, but they still have to present the ideas to her... so either way, one of them has to describe it all. also if they present their own, they know what their vision is, so they know what to say. it would take a lot more time to make an extra person memorize all their ideas and tell the client while also making sure not to forget anything... this was is more efficient and they are on a time crunch, i'm sure.

Why is everyone hating on this room? Because it’s yellow? Because it’s not their style? People are saying it’s not the Sorry Girl’s best work, which is completely wrong! They were following what Adelaine wanted! Adelaine is a very happy, colorful personality, she wanted something that would make her happy when she walked into it. I personally think it’s amazing they stuck so well to Adelaine’s requests, most interior designers would try to turn customers into something they’re not style wise! I personally love this room, it’s fun and bright and colorful (her bedroom as well.) You guys did a fantastic job, keep up the amazing work! 💛

Just Smile I think the room looks fabulous however there are a couple of finishing touches that could have been executed with more finesse, such as the unevenness of the cupboards bottoms, insufficient chalkboard paint coverage and the tab top curtains which would look better hung from the wall above the window

@@helen4976 cupboards bottom bother me too, but really that's not the girls' fault. It's ikea's. That piece of furniture used to be called expedit and was super popular cause it looks cool and is not expensive. A couple of years ago they renamed it and re-styled it and now it's called kallax, so the old type is not available anywhere anymore, the girls couldn't possibly get their hands on it.

Looks great! I bet her mom loved that the room had function and looked so much nicer. Lol. FYI, you put the faux fur rug over the heat vent. Um that’s how you get heat in the room and I don’t know if the rug with get overheated (maybe caught on fire), sorry bad flash backs with baseboard heating.

Maybe the vent is just for central air and not for heating in which case it could be easily moved in the summer.

that Expedit and Kallax unevenness would KILL ME :( its not the same storage! Kallax is like one inch smaller in all dimensions and looks so bad when they are next to each other :( why ikea, why.

Helen Thoms I dont think it could be fixed, its also the tint. Ikea is a cheap furniture, white ikea furniture is a VERY cheap furniture. If you plan on having two white pieces next to each other you better buy them at once :D One year difference will make them two different colours - the old one slightly yellow from sun and other factors. I speak from my own experience with malm dressers and many shelves etc. I just dont get it why they wouldnt get two new kallax if they were about to be next to each other and use the old expedit for something else or somewhere else in the house ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So amazing. I love how you took a cluttered room, still kept all the stuff in it, but quadrupled the functionality. (Image a gold star emoji here) It's clean, organized, stylish, yellow which is exactly what she wanted. Totally feels like a different room! 😮😂 Flipping the share shelving to make it long and short made that wall fell more open, where before every wall was floor to ceiling. Wonderful idea! And a spot for her beloved doggo! 🦴 Great job ladies! 👍😂

Am I the only one bothered by how the chalkboard is not evenly coated? There's an area in the middle where u could still see a bit of yellow. I dont know, is it just me? Otherwise, this is such an amazing makeover. You guys need to do my room next. 😍 Update: while i was typing this i havent finish watching the video, and by the end of it u can't really see it anymore. Haha i guess i spoke too soon.

Isn't painters tape supposed to come off right away, while the paint is still wet? I thought you prevent it pulling up paint with it and you get a crisper line

It depends on the tape. That is the rule for nail polish tapes lol. But some painters tapes have instructions to leave it for 24-48 hours.

If you have to leave it on for a while then you can pull it off in a certain way so that it doesn’t pull up the paint

I have some tape that's best to take off when wet and some that specifies it works best after three hours, different tapes exist for different purposes :)
