Although I do now have digital products for sale, I have no desire to use Black Friday to “promote” them. They’re available to those who are interested regardless. I am not a shopper myself and for me Black Friday isn’t a thing. But I am excited about sharing my expertise and knowledge with my audience now that I have one large enough to serve in that way. I don’t feel weird about offering products or services that will be of benefit to my community. ❤

I don't find anything wrong with viewers supporting their fave creators monetarily. KZbin is not a cake walk. And creators that provide valuable content shouldn't feel guilty about receiving compensation. I believe that as a content creator, if you're honest from the get go with your viewers, that you're clear about your intentions with your channel and that you're not spammy, deceiving, desperate or demanding about it, you can grow your channel with your integrity intact. It's not a contradiction to provide continuous value to an audience while still eeking out some kind of financial benefit in return.

Interesting perspective. 🧐 Mine: You currently never have to ask for support. People will still show up for the ‘free’ content you share despite whether you have any product or service to offer … 😉Still, that relationship is transactional because you’ve asked for a time commitment. That’s not bad or wrong and still it’s not financially sustainable per your own words. ❤ People know when they’re being sold to…but when there’s a creator who’s offering something in a transparent way, the transaction does not diminish the quality of the relationship….
