I had the privilege of visiting China in 2002 and believe me, I couldn't believe how advanced and beautiful China is. I never experienced any racism during my 2 weeks there, compared to experiencing racism at the Airport on my first visit to the U.S.A in the late 1990s. China is by far a better country than the United States to be a black person.

At the same time, political correctness is not a thing in China, so some people--esp. in the less urbanized regions--may say things that may be construed as being racially insensitive. It comes from a place of ignorance and naivete rather than malice though. Still more preferable than the racism in the states.
@treedillon3 ай бұрын
Culture (starting from the Han ppl) has been teaching Chinese for thousands of years: to distinguish between good n bad ppl, one should look at the quality rather than the appearance. Therefore, in Chinese history, as long as the dynasties ruled by the Han ppl, there was no "racism" and "gnc". Some races disappeared in history b/c they recognized Han culture n chose to actively integrate. Those who recognized it but retained their own traditions chose to join, so there was the territory of China. Historically, no matter what race or religion, they can live in harmony on this land. Tips: The word "G" does not exist in C-history (it was introduced and translated from the West in modern times).

In spring I was in China for two weeks to visit my son who studied in Xi'an for one year (exchange of one class of students between Stuttgart/Germany and Xi'an). And I was totally surprised, positiv! The same experience made my other son and his girlfriend and my former wife. The possibility to travel visafree for two weeks makes it a lot easier to go to China and all we are sure, there were not our last visits in China. Both of my sons already think about to absolve their master study in China.

I had the chance to visit China in October 2023. What you said about it in this video is absolutely accurate. The country is very modern, the infrastructure developed, the public transit system is very convenient, the cost of living is affordable. By comparison, Western countries' public transit systems are often derelict, riddled with homeless and mental cases, underfunded and inadequate to meet the needs of the urban population, while the costs of living have gotten out of hand and have become truly unaffordable for the middle class. I think that everyone should go travel to China and see for themselves. Don't believe all the paid KZbinrs and media spreading untruths. Your time there will be an eyeopener.

I just returned from 3 weeks in China, This included Shanghai, Xi’An, Chengdu, Renshou, LeShan, Chongqing, I used several modes of transport within China, Air travel, fast trains varying in speeds from 250kph to 350kph, metro trains, long distance buses and DiDi, I was amazed by how clean the streets were and how efficient there transport networks flowed, every city visited had its own vibe and if asked to pick a favourite that’s easy CHINA, if I was asked to say something negative, man that’s a tough one but to be nit picking I would say please don’t be in such a hurry to enter the metro train when someone else is trying to get off, this only really was an issue during the peak hours when the metro was very busy, I Loved my holiday and I will be back as there is so much more to do and see,
I'm so glad to hear things are turning around and that more people are seeing China for themselves. Thanks for reporting!

With all these anti-China going on for years, China just ignored them and would defend when questioned directly by anti-China journalist. Chinese people still love the western people. Chinese now travel extensively to Europe, Japan, Australia.. in million every year. This is the Chinees culture. No, China is not anti-West. We know those are the acts of some politicians who need votes. China is extremely friendly to visitors. Please stop thinking China is the same as 40 years or 50 years ago. Instead of spending Billions of dollars on media like western countries, just giving visa free travel and easier methods to get a visa for other countries which does not cost anything is a mater stoke by the government. Let people in the west go see for themselves is much better.

But the nuclear agency cited the cost was too high so they released the "treated" wastewater instead. They then spent a lot more(then the evaporative method) on propganda to downplay the danger of nuclear waste water

Love to see this unexpected benefit of China's new free travel Visa. Also, kudos to Alipay & WeChat who have eased the process for travelers. Regardless of one's preferred type of government, China invests the most per capita in improving the quality of life for the majority of it's citizenry, including infrastructure, education and healthcare. From a young age, people are taught how to be well mannered and productive members of the community. New parents are provided a lot of community support and access to government resources to be good parents. It isn't perfect, but is quite effective. Go visit China, you will enjoy it and make some new friends, too. Cheers

Public transports are so expensive in the West that most people referred to drive instead. Those anti China could have spent their times to tell their government make their public transport cheaper.
China should make it even easier for foreigners to visit. Not only visa, payment, mobile network to access Whatsapp, renting car, getting taxi using app etc. must make it even easier for foreigners.
