@Wolfpax829 ай бұрын
Because it was never meant to be an apology.
@maree44358 ай бұрын
It really is an interesting situation. There is insurmountable proof that she had done many inappropriate things with her minor fans, many times. No doubt about that. But I think in her head, especially with the stuff that was in videos/documented, nobody called her out so it’s POSSIBLE she convinced herself it was okay. It’s nowhere near the same thing, but I think of other celebrities doing things in the past, like Jimmy Fallons BlackFace, which wasn’t called out until recent years. Sexist/racist/homophobic jokes in film or interviews even just a decade ago that didn’t get people cancelled until they resurfaced. I think there’s some sort of phenomenon with these celebrities, who are willing to do anything for popularity and attention. And if it’s working, they won’t be apologetic and they won’t even think about it being wrong because, well, people are finding it funny. Until it’s not funny anymore. Most celebs handle it well and apologize, but I honestly doubt they all regret what they did because it DID work and they DID get positive attention from it at the time. I do not condone anything Colleen did, I’ve never been a fan of her, but she really could have saved her career and image by just admitting that the things she did were inappropriate and that she was sorry for any damage she caused. But I think her ego is too big, and she probably has that belief that “if nobody had a problem back then, why should I be sorry now when they loved that content?”
@DembaiVT3 ай бұрын
Nah. She needed to release a threat to the people who hadn't come forward yet. There were worse allegations to come. She did that to silence her victims. Go rewatch it and consider what a victim of her abuse would understand about the second verse. She is absolutely telling them that no one will believe them and that they need to stay quiet. She absolutely did something worse than everything else and needed to get the word out to some kid who probably blocked her. I finally watched the video with someone doing commentary, and as a victim of abuse...it absolutely scared me. Its a threat. She made that video not to apologize, but to THREATEN A VICTIM.

the part about the completionist... not donating funds that were publicly disclosed as for charity, and instead using it for personal use.... isnt that illegal and called embezzlement or smth?
@ALoser-ThisIsTotallyUnique9 ай бұрын
yes, it is embezzlement, and at the very least fraud. It's as illegal as you'd expect and honestly considering the circumstance and who he pissed off which is a long list but at the top of people you don't want to piss off is the IRS. Wouldn't be suprised to see criminal prosecution over this tbh
@alphapt93709 ай бұрын
There's better deep dives onto that issue. So take what I'm about to say as a huge sumarization of that, and more info is available. A great chunk of those funds ended up being donated shortly after the first exposé video, maybe with the intent of trying to diminuish the backlash. And since funds were always declared to IRS, the legality of the situation is on a grey area. What motivated the big backlash was a fundraising event (I think it was a golf tournament, might be missremembering), that funds were supposed to go 100% to the charity (that, up until that point, havent donated anything to anyone), and then revealed that not all funds would, as some would be to pay for the event to take place, and also paying people to participate. And since that was told after the fact, people were not happy. So, the personal use part is what is not totally correct there. It was not proven he was taking the funds and using it for self benefit. What was also not proven is if he was being paid (by those funds) to continue doing charity drives. What was proven, beyond any doubt, was that he was hoarding those funds "while waiting for a worthwile charity to donate to". And that's what is shady about this whole deal. He was not running a charity. He was running an organization that goal was to gather funds (by donations of others), and then decide who would get that money. As a middle man. Where he would have final say on who gets what. Another excuse that he used is that he wanted to find a charity that was worth it, and make a big impact, instead of giving to several charities and not be as impactful. So, embezzlement it is not, as he didnt misapropriated the funds. That could be proven, at least. Sorry for the wall of text, but heh, if you want to come at him, at least go at him for the right reasons. Personally, I think he would probably run the charity for decades, give nothing, promise that he would, and slowly drain it for "maintenance". While taking small bites, here and there, from the events that were supposed to be 100% charity donations, but werent. A long con, while pulling peoples hearts strings. And that's why I prefer to donate to charity with goods, and never money. And never throught a third party. For instance, animal shelters require food. I donate to one with ration bags. It's not the cheapest off the shelf, but the brand they usually buy to feed the animals. It has a great shelf life, and it's always appreciated.

This video came out just before a 17-year-old Train Spotter intentionally derailed a coal freight train that was en-route to a power plant. Because he "inspected" the switch days before the crash, it is considered premeditated and he will be tried as an adult. He set up his camera on a section of track that's only used to remove train cars from the main line for repair, then he threw the rail siding switch causing the train to enter the turn too fast, crashing into an empty coal car and ultimately derailing the train. Perhapse we'll see this in a part-2?

And the Blair situation has gotten WORSE for her. Her ex did a stream in which he got so much money that his house was saved, she kept sending out more cease and desists to others to the point where actual lawyers were saying she doesn’t have much to stand on, and she is found out to owe taxes to Colorado and is potentially in danger of - get this - losing her assets, like her house. The irony of karma.

Oddly the most controversial part of this video was how IA pronounces "Lingerie"

What's best about Illuminaughty's fall is that it came from the same personality traits that hurt so many other people. If she wasn't so used to abuse her authority to take advantage of others, she would've talked to LegalEagle instead of publicly bashing him. That tweet would've never existed if she wasn't the shitty "human being" she actually is.

I like this content, but there were about 16 ads roughly, or even more, that played through the video, which is under 22 minutes; that's going overboard on the ads, IMO. Not sure if the ads are creator controlled in this situation.

seriously, to this day, the only reason why bliar got her downfall is because she tried to call out legal eagle, where one of his editors asked what effect she used for a torn piece of paper. then she went all out and tried to air dirty laundry and even someones self ending note. and then the receipts from them came in and she was found to be indeed a liar.

the iiluminaughtii thing is still going, but interesting to hear Oz say Blair has foreclosure powers, this means her name is on the paperwork either for the loan or the house. so when he asked her to help him pay the mortgage while she was 'staying with him temporarily' was.... totally called for, and if she's on the paperwork she has a moral (maybe legal?) obligation. crazy how much she's spinning the narrative! love your vids btw, just subscribed!!!

Wish you could've added Sssniperwolf, she lost 3 - 4 million views on average after stealing content from hundreds of people, stealing Azzy's personality, breaking KZbin's TOS, ghosting dying kids, and being a horrible person/wife in general. She got away with it because most of her fanbase isn't even 13 yet.
