You're not wrong about having Bomberman use many types of bombs as a smash character. In later games he literally can punch bombs away from him in tandem to kicking. I mentioned earlier in some games you could collect various other bomb types. These ones are from Bomberman Jetters (Gamecube): R.C. bombs (very OP, detonate at any time), Landmine (2 second delay detonation via touch), Penetration Bomb (fire range is not hindered by singular destructible squares, risky AF), Ricochet Bomb (unpredictable water balloon bombs), Power Bomb (MAX fire range), Dangerous Bomb (chargeable with super powerglove and has a 5x5 block explosion range) There's MANY tools at Bomberman's disposal and that's just from one game alone.

Never played Saturn Bomberman sadly but it looks fun AF. It doesn't have the absurdity of Ricochet Bombs (basically unpredictable water balloon bombs it's funny), R.C. Bombs (considerably OP), Landmines, or chargeable Danger bombs with an increased blast radius (not lines of fire). The Dinos add to the table sadly a la sacrificial Yoshi. It is what it is. Also the fact that it's just White Bomber, Black Bomber and a bunch of OCs for this game is neat. You don't have Red or Blue Bombers (P3 & P4 bombermen) so you get variety with character choices except for the fact that everyone's playstyle is the same with no unique bomber abilities but that's a non issue. Bomb Kick is your much needed besto friend.

About the music track for Vs modes: there's always only ONE dedicated track for that mode in all Bomberman games with multiplayer. No unique themes for each stage. That's for the single player campaign which is unfortunate. That's just the way it is.

Bomberman 3 on SNES is one of my go to party game in the 90s. The hand pickup bomb and remote bomb is good. There are different kind of kangaroo 35:34 Karma is a bitch

Iirc in later games with Mad Bomber (or Revenge Cart/Bad Bomber) enabled, if you're KO'd you appear on the walls and have a chance to shoot ONE bomb at your enemy so you can get back into the fight. It's content I tell you hwat and kinda funny these guys have never done it. I like the sportsmanship.
