You know, hearing the lyrics to this song makes me think: Scooby Doo has always been about facing your fears. The criminals involved are usually trying to scare people for various reasons because you expect people to be scared but the Mystery Inc team overcome the fear to save the day, Shaggy and Scooby are the most easily-frightened members of the team but often overcome their fears to help out, and I remember one episode where Velma gets over her fear of clowns.
