YoYoFactory Replay Review

I'm an old thrower who only recently got back into it (back before unresponsive yoyos hit the scene). I accidentally got a Replay Pro because I was looking for a cheaper, plastic unresponsive to learn how to bind and get into throwing. I feel like I was super lucky to choose this one right off the bat to learn how to play with unresponsives. Someday, I plan on getting a nice metal throw. Until then, I'm happy to know that I made a good choice and won't feel terrible about letting it hit the ground when I screw up a trick.

BONUS: If you get the opaque plastic one (as opposed to the translucent plastic one like Gentry used to win) like this, the purple Ann Connolly signature, and the white/blue Gentry signature (the one I have), it'll glow in the dark. Dunno how it's practical, but hey, it's neat I guess.

I love my replay, Its my first none response yo yo that I could do endless trick with because of the long spin which my other older yo yos did not have. but if you want a yo yo for finger spin tricks the Horizon is made for those kind of tricks. Thanks Brandon for posting.

I just want to ask that the lime green cap rotates on the replay pro, is the problem if the cap rotates when I rotate it with my hand?

I'm not too sure if I'm the only who's figured this out, but popping off the caps of the replay is actually pretty dang easy. One side doesn't have molded plastic above the nut, so you can just push something small through the screw hole, I used a small screw driver. The other side though, does have molded plastic, so this method will not work, however, there are 3 small holes located under the response pad, that you can use to pop the cap off. Again a small screw driver worked fine to pop the other cap off as well, you may have to scrap a response pad, but it makes caps quite simple to take off! Let me know what you guys think.

Mine arrived and never span so im a little jaded over it. The bearing seat was not molded properley and does not allow the bearing to spin freely. I am glad it came tome and not a younger player where $16 is comparatively a lot more money. I have played my friends tho and is the perfect carry around player.

Hi Brandon huge fan also I have a question where do you get titanium yo-yo’s is there a site for it, is there a guy that gives you the hookup like a prototype or? I would really like to know. I know titanium doesn’t come cheap so how much are titanium yo-yo’s worth I heard there up to 300+ dollars is that correct? Also why do professional yo-yo legends such as yourself use them?

I have 2 and they go to work with me. I can use it either to practice whatever new trick or combo I'm working on, or just for stress relief. Help! I just received my replay pro today and learned how to bind. Now all of a sudden the balls in the bearing are shaking and rattling. I haven't damaged the yoyo. Should I be concerned? Why is it rattling?

actually, if you remove the pads, there are 3 holes, and just put a loop 1080 tool and push and it'll pop off easy

The Velocity because it can be responsive and unresponsive without having to change the bearing. You just have to change the dial.

Replay Pro or Speedaholic?

The Replay, as Brandon said, is very stable is is more stable than the Speedaholic. The Speedaholic is very stable but not as much as the Replay because of its lighter weight. But since it's lighter weight it can move much faster. The Speedaholic is also noticeably wider than the Replay. One other thing about the Speedaholic is that it has a metal bearing seat so it could be smoother ( depends on the replay your comparing it to). Now just compare my thought of the Speedaholic to Brandon's thoughts on the Replay PRO. If you are starting out with a unresponsive yoyo I would get the Replay. (Note: If you get a Speedaholic, do not take off the black sticker in the middle! They keep the axle and nut in and if you take the stickers off you could lose the axle and nut. Also if you unscrew it with the stickers off, it makes the yoyo very vibey. )
