I called Central Hobbies today and they are in business, have the check valve, and it is shipping today! This morning I decided to remove the carb and back plate of this engine. Sorry, no video. It looks brand new inside like it was run maybe 2 or 3 times. The rear bearing is shiny and the counterweight looks like it did when it shipped from the factory. I wonder if the fellow that owned this didn’t know how to run this engine and gave up on it. The glow plug was fouled and very dark like it was run way too rich. Exhaust valve stem looks shiny and new. Looks like a low time gem for under $100.

You could also use a check valve from OS engines, it is used on the FS 200.

CK Aero is us YS engines and parts source. Also, you can get parts from YSpower in Japan or rcjapan.

Nice engine David! I think Sullivan makes a check valve that I imagine would work in the event that you can't find the original equipment check valve.

Central Hobbies did have them in stock and one should be arriving today or tomorrow. I am excited to run this one!

Make sure to get a good quality tank with fittings (stopper, cap, etc.) that can hold up to the pressurization. I believe Tettra made tanks specifically for these engines. Central Hobbies still carries Tettra fuel tanks.

I have always used DuBro tanks without issue on YS engines. These only build up 3-5 psi. It isn’t a high pressure thing.

David.. O.S 55 HZR are using a check valve,, suppose you can get one from O.S.

YS had the check valve out of stock for a really long time, i been using the OS check valve without any issue at all, it's more expensive but readily available, OSM72403070, hope this helps Dave!
