They love their worlds. Ys, Legend of Heroes... The worldbuilding IS great. I didn't think, when I started Ys, that the world, lore and characterisation was so deep. Came for the action and the music, I stayed for the universe.

Jay Dee I wish so bad that there would be a localized version of Cold Steel 3 that gets a release in the west. I absolutely love The Legend of Heroes games. They're some of the best jrpg's ever in terms of story, characters, world building, lore, dialogue and combat/battle mechanics. But from what I remember, the team that localized Cold Steel 1 & 2 said that they weren't doing 3. I could be misremembering or read it wrong. I certainly hope so because I'd do anything for them to bring it to the west.

Alors le film d'ouverture prend encore plus de sens, une fois qu'on a terminé le jeu... je viens de le finir et j'en ai encore les poils dressés en visionnant cette magnifique cinématique ! Bravo Falcom... le vieux fan de la License que je suis ne pensais pas un jour, jouer à un jeu de cette qualité de gameplay, de scénario, de musique, de cette profondeur dans son sens large... plus on s'approche de la fin et moins on a envie d'y arriver... Played it on my hacked vita. Than feel bad. Luckily I didn't finish it yet. Then I bought it on my nintendo switch. Still playing it... Enjoy it with every side quests. So I check from the ending credits of this game and Cold Steel III & IV and I found out that the opening animation of these three games were made by Studio 3Hz. But why there's very different in the quality of Ys VIII op. anime and those of CS III & IV!? Did they blew the animation budget for this game and has to scrap out for the later two?

Finish the game 99.99 % (Missed 1 side quest) I had to say don't even think compare this game to Nier Auto, Modern Final Fantasys, Persona 5, this masterpiece is on another whole level (based on personal perspective) EDITED: I did a little research the studio that made this OP is 3HZ which also made Princess Principal OP and SAO:GGO alternative OP. EDITED2: 0:59 I like the way Dana glow red color and Adol glow blue color, Dana eyes opened Adol eyes closed then switched very nice detail.

Tripledeathstar Every game except Origins features adol. Ys is mostly about looking into all the adventures Adol gets himself into. Outside of maybe 2 characters that re-appear, Adol's party is completely new each time (or sometimes he just goes it Solo) .

almost every ys starts with adol losing his memory and starting again from beginning in a new place and also contain a new story. so you dont have to play the other games. the only reference are mostly the world history and some kingdom and names of organization that the veteran plater of the series might recognize. (kinda like suikoden story wise.)
