@Yddp33075 жыл бұрын
May i ask what's heel and toe and what's rev matching system, i have heard it a lot of times but has no idea what it's about
@nickwong25255 жыл бұрын
@@Yddp3307 heel and toe is to keep the revs up when you are shifting the gear, basically left leg on clutch and right leg toe on brake and heel on throttle to keep the revs up so you don't lose power by keeping it in the power band... rev matching, well you just have to clutch and shift the gear...
@powerfultoa75 жыл бұрын
@@Yddp3307 Keep the car in the correct power band without forcing the engine to jolt up the revs if you didn't do it (when you press the clutch engine speed drops dramatically which is why you see drivers pressing the gas with their heel).
@Yddp33075 жыл бұрын
@@powerfultoa7 thanks for the replies!
@Zedexization5 жыл бұрын
@@Yddp3307 have you ever downshifted fast and felt like your car is being pulled back or it feels jerky? Heel n toe or rev matching is to make downshifts much more smoother when you need to use a lower gear quickly while maintaining your current speed. For example, you want to overtake but your car is at fifth gear and the car infront of you is slow. The torque or pickup at fifth gear isnt enough for you to overtake him, so you downshift to the 4th or 3rd gear to get the needed torque quickly. For you to downshift smoothly, you need to revmatch. Revmatching is done by pressing the throttle for awhile to spin the clutch or gear at the right amount of speed to match the rev at the gear you want. The process should more or less look like this (5th gear - N - press the throttle to 3000 or 4000rpm (this amount varies) - let go of the throttle - 4 or 3rd gear). It should be done in rapid succession but whats important is the RPM because thats what makes the downshift much smoother. The reason why you need to press the throttle for awhile is because lower gears spin faster than your current gear because their revs are much higher, the reason why your vehicle feels jerky when you downshift without revmatching is because your vehicle is trying to match the RPM on its own which is the cause of that uneasy feeling that you get during downshifting.
@iankinjau61085 жыл бұрын
Heel & Toe technique... No wonder the car ran smooth in and out the bends and under braking... With this technique, the car will always be smooth even on the last minute outbraking manouver going in the corners and will always be in the power band range when goin out the corners provided you get in the right gear and the right line goin in the corners and clipping the perfect apex of course😊... I've practiced this technique a lot Uncle and some of my friends were puzzled why they get outbraked, outcornered and out accelarated all of the time even on the same car😁... Uncle, you're an inspiration to me... Please don't stop driving FAST ya because this will keep you healthy mentally and physically and most of all will keep you young at heart😉... Thanks for the ride Uncle... Cheers👍🏽... Please take me for a drive next time around Uncle... It will be a dream come true for me🙏🏾🤗
