I got my first YSL LouLou from Selfridges. Love love love it! Got it in black w gold hardware. My mom wanted one too so I looked on eBay and found one in the blanc vintage color and bought it. When I received it… comparing it to the one I had already, it was sooo obvious the second one I had bought was fake. For someone who isn’t familiar with the quality of the real Saint Laurent, they might be able to be fooled by the fakes. This is why buying secondhand luxury is so scary 🥺 thank you for making it a point to point out the features on your bag! Thankfully I was able to return the second LouLou I bought, got a refund. Not sure if the seller knew she had a fake but thankfully she took it back.

Mercari is fulllll of fake bags unfortunately. I will look on there and get so mad bc i can tell they are fake.

thank you for sharing I though I was buying a 2nd hand bag from Mercari as well but there were lots of red flags however the fake was very good quality. However I agree, the smell was not of leather, it's wasn't as soft, also the stitching was off a bit and the biggest difference was the looking at the bottom of the bag, the original puffs out and fake goes straight up. I was able to get my $ back as well. Mercari had authenticated the bag too but after reading their authentication policy - it's not worth the $10 bucks people pay for it. Also remember when you support fakes you support, drug, human trafficking and child labor and crime. Fakes are a $6B business. For those who buy authentics bags the fakes just take away from the luxury aspects. I hope people realize buying fakes makes them part of the problem, and conterfiet luxury goods are a crime.

Wow this is really scary. I’ve looked at a ton of luxury items on mercari and poshmark but i didnt purchase any 😥 i cannot imagine being scammed thats awful.

Honestly I could not believe how good the fake was… but once I got the real one, you can feel the difference in the weight! And the stitching for sure you can tell I would recommend doing something on a site that authenticates!

These bags you can get with discount ( first order) or no tax from farfetch if it comes from Europe. I would not suggest to buy preloved. I got mine from farfetch, 10% off ( used my husbands email) first time customer deal and it came from London so no tax that’s another 10% ;)) I live in CA

Hi! I believe it’s a brushed silver but it’s a really nice soft color, it’s not like the silver on the College bags from YSL it’s a lighter silver that’s not super shiny if that makes sense
