You should review vibrant dreams by the dua brand it's an inspiration of sospiro vibrato I would like to know how close it is cause I never smelled vibrato and vibrant dreams is good for me at least

I do love the way this smells but I have Y EDP and Le Parfum and in my opinion this is too similar to both of those for me to pay what it retails for. Also, this projects great but for an Elixir it doesn't last as long on my skin as the EDP or even Le parfum.

I wonder if you had been given a bad sample? I absolutely love it. It is so much smoother EDT, EDP or Intense. It also projects big time, without smacking people in the nose with a harsh smell. My wife thinks most cologne smells like bug spray, and even she said that it is okay with her. I can completely agree with the $180 price tag. It is better than all the other YSL.

I hope you read this. Before, I had a perfume that smelled very nice. I wanted to buy one, but I didn't know what the brand was. I remember the bottle's round shape and having edges on every side. The color of the bottle is green with a black accent. It was a small, round bottle similar to Sauvage but with lots of edges on the sides and the cover have edges also. I am searching it for years but no luck. My mom bought it in year below 2010, old purfume for men.

Actually I like the elixir . And yes you can smell the oud it is just not that much. In France I bought it for 108 euros but the girl in the store said that the perfume wasn't a success and they will stop the production .

I find it kind of "interesting" and longevity was 8-9h on my skin. Will buy it? NOOOOOOOO! Only the collecter who want all the YSL Y will buy this. Was on discounters sites 1 month after release. My favorite from Y line is Eau fraîche. After puting side by side Y EDP and Al Haramain Yeah! my friends prefere the clone 😅

I tested Elixir and it was a no brainer for my taste of smell. I have never gotten more positive compliments for a fragrance than on this one. Tastes are different. 10/10 for me.

You're right. Skip this crap, buy EDP. In addition to it smelling lousy, I got NO projection or sillage. Yeah, I could smell it on my skin 12 hours later when I shoved my arm up to my nose. After 5 sprays being undetectable on me when I tested it on release day, I went back a couple days later and hit 15 sprays of the tester at Macy's for the heck of it including 5 sprays in the same spot on my wrist, and an hour later in the car my wife could smell the mall bathroom soap projecting off my hands and NOT the Y.

I beg to differ with you. I find the YSL Y Elixir very interesting and very good fragrance in Y line. But, yes, it is way too expensive. It only follows the rules bestowed upon us by Dior Sauvage Elixir. That Elixir moniker is an excuse for an exorbitant price in every Designer's house. Of course, the best fragrance of the YSL Y line remains Y Eau de Parfum Intense! Beats them all with ease !

I'm kind of glad everyone is hating on this because I can't afford it at the price it's at now and hopefully it drops because I really like it. I don't understand how no one smells oud in this. It's most of what I smell with just hints of lavender and geranium. I'm never going to tell anyone their opinion is wrong because it's just that an opinion and we all have our likes and dislikes. However the reviews on this one by everyone are strange to me.

Interesting timing since I recently got a sample of YSL Y EDP. I might look into the Elixir too, but I think I'd be better off just getting a full bottle of the EDP. The EDP smells incredible on my skin. :)
