@@JayHurstMtb got mine 2 months ago. paid 4.5K for the core 4 model. bargain of the century! all other bikes with full carbon frame, XT drivetrain and fox factory suspension are double the price. so happy about it!

I love the YT Ebike. It has improved my riding so much which i have then transferred those skills across to my Enduro bike. The team at the YT Mill were awesome.

Thank you for your review. I am considering buying my first e-mtb and the Decoy Core 4 is at the top of my list. But i want to know things like: how is the motor, how is the shifting with the motor, how is the feel going uphill, is it unnatural at any points on trail, how long does the battery last you on "normal trails", things like that. We all know this bike can descend and stay planted but I am looking for the uphill inside scoop.

Absolutely fair point, that is what E-Bikes are designed for. In short...they are awesome, but I'll make a video soon on it and go into details

Just ordered one today, might have to swap out the coil spring for my style of riding here soon.

The problem/challenge I have with e-bikes is that virtually no-one else I ride with has them. I tend to ride a lot with my wife and two boys, and then don't have them, but they do have some sweet trail and downhill bikes. So for me to make the jump I would be the only one with an e-bike while the rest of them would be slugging it out analog. This is the challenge I see with these bikes making it in to the mainstream. So of course I could just go and buy us all new e-bikes, but not only does that cost a lost of dough, but some of the places we like to ride still restrict them, in which case I would still need my old analog bikes. So in that latter scenario, we would all need two bikes, and that's just getting a little crazy given that I try to live simply whenever I can and maintaining two bikes for each of us just gets to be a PITA. I realize this is a bit of overthinkanitous but this is how my brain works ;-)

I find it a bit funny that there are no videos I can find comparing this bike with other ebikes like say the Polygon Collosus N9 which I think would match it down any trial and cost only 1/4 as much

Own a 2022 YT Decoy core 4 29er, you right need to upgrade to a wider tires. Pease do share what size of tire your going replace.

Yeah I think in the future I’ll go for 2.5 front and rear with hope wheels

Once you ride an ebike there is no looking back!

I do agree but the problem is when you want to ride abroad . You can’t just put your ebike on a plane. For that reason I have tried to alternate between the two.

Hahah I still love my normal bike, but the E bike is addictive. I end up doing trails all over the place but it doesn’t matter because you get there in no time! 🤙🏻

What about motor rattle and serviceability
@JayHurstMtb4 ай бұрын
This is a slightly older bike now and I believe the design was actually a bit better for this, barely any motor rattle. As for serviceability both the motor and battery are pretty straight forward to remove. Not as clean looking as some of the more integrated designs but does make maintenance easier.

@@JayHurstMtb If you were a little bit taller (maybe a baller), say, 6'3", would the XL still be fine or would you really want to move up a size on the Decoy?

@@Putkiaivoton I’d still go XL to be honest. It’s got plenty of room on it
