Assalamu alaikum wrwb, as much as I enjoy your insightful videos, this one is quite heavy indeed. I do regard without shadow of a doubt that Qur'an contains absolute truth and that your methodology is very logical. But a single person is easily manipulated by the shayateen, especially nowadays. There is fitnah everywhere. But I am sure you realise that alot more than I do. You need to present your findings to the open minded ulamah (might be a little challenging) or someone like Nauman Ali Khan who is very well grounded in Arabic I believe. Have a group meeting for the sake of Allah and the ummah. We really need unity! Until then I'll be sceptical. The way I see it is you either are a blessing or another dajal. Please forgive me, but I hope you understand where am coming from. If you really are doing this for the sake of Allah, then may Allah make this immense task easy for you and raise your status in this world and the next! Amin!!!

Assalamualaikum. By your methodology, you have identified Zulqarnayn with Prophet Muhammad pbuh. Ayah 18:83 sets out the starting point of the narrative regarding Zulqarnayn in the Quran. This ayah tallies with the seerah in this regard; ie some unbelievers asking the Prophet regarding Zulqarnayn. Within the context of this ayah 18:83, the question from the unbelievers gives that they either; (1) knew details about Zulqarnayn (being a person other than the Prophet), and that they wanted to find out whether or how much the Prophet knows about that person (ie a test question, as per the seerah), OR (2) had heard something about Zulqarnayn and wanted to learn more about him from the Prophet (a true question). Scenario (1) unquestionably refers to a person other than the Prophet. Even if the case was the latter scenario (2), it is reasonable to still think that it is not about the Prophet. This is because the unbelievers are contemporaneous with the Prophet in time and place and they must have known fully well about his (the Prophet’s) identity, message and actions, especially him being their “enemy” as it were. So, even if questioning in regard to a little known Zulqarnayn (scenario 2), that too must not have been about the Prophet, since they already knew him fully well. It follows then, that the answer as provided by the revelations (ayaat 18:84-98), would make meaningful sense to the unbelievers only if they are describing matters relating to a person other than the Prophet. Otherwise, I believe the revelations would not be answering their question. By your understanding, how then would you reconcile this ayah 18:83 with your indentifying Zulqarnayn with Prophet Muhammad pbuh?

I am sure it really is an honest effort and you have best intentions at heart I just pray that you keep at it. It really is a riddle. And if I have ever learned one thing is when it comes to Quran and the ways of Allah the best way to get the answer is to keep asking the question and keep a very very very open mind because one day Allah will give you the answer but only if your mind is COMPLETELY open. @@MarvelousQuran let’s just say that time is a constraint only for us mortals NOT for Allah, if a mortal like Dajjal can change times then it’s not hard for Allah to change something that’s is His own creation. When we get stuck with past present and future as we understated it we miss the beauty of Allah’s amazing plan. Till now it was understandable for people not to be able to rightly identify DQ as they were bound to the understanding of time as a constant hence the laughable comparison with Cyrus who was an open Mushrik, but a lot of Quranic Ayats can only be understood in the end times when understanding of time and space has evolved. The reason Jews of the time had put these 3 questions to the prophet as a test out of which one question was about the Great traveler was because they have always consumed with the end times exactly as they are now. It’s the key to understanding why were they sooooooo interested to know firstly who ZQ was and secondly why would only a true prophet of Allah can only know the answer. If the answer was in the past a good historian can also give the answer but only a true prophet can give the answer if it’s truly from Ghaib. I am no scholar and my knowledge is not even 1% of many people like yourself and many others who have dedicated your life to unlocking the riddles of Quran but all I can tell you is if you use that same knowledge of Arabic and the methodology that you have with a much more open mind the results would be very very different. You are very right as to the bloodline of ZQ with your understanding but you are missing a lot more. I am sure a person with your abilities will get there if you keep asking Allah to guide you even more. JazakAllah Khair brother

My question is did Allah tell us anything about staying away from learning from other sources ? I was a born Muslim. But I think secular sciences is the one that drew me nearer to Qur'an. Alhamdulillah. I am learning about Islam now Alhamdulillah. And I strongly feel that the false messiah can easily manipulate and drive people away from Islam if Muslims of this world don't have enough knowledge about science and technology of today's world. This is what I felt. And I felt that memorizing Qur'an should be made mandatory for every Muslims. Simply because it contains the answers to every question that man has ever asked and a source of guidance and mercy from Allah Subhanallah. I perceive the reason for all this is that our ummah gone hay way only when our religious people joined political forums rather than than holding the spiritual path. As- Salamulikum brother Hany Atchan, It was my great pleasure to listen to your lecture on the Abrahamic locution and meaning of the Quranic ayat. Alhamdulillah. I am not an Arab and I also don’t know Arabic other than reciting the Quran in the Quranic or Arabic language and looking for English or Bengali translations to understand. However, I was aware that there is a huge difference between modern Arabic and classical Arabic during the period of the 5th century. As your lectures are eye-opening and exciting to me, I felt compelled to share some of my understanding with you. 1. Allah swt uses Quran to manifest the reality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). So we will find the meaning or implementation of the Quran through the life of Prophet Muhammad pbuh. You have explained that nicely. That is why the essence of the story of Zul Qarnayn existed in our beloved Prophet's life. The essence of the story of Zul Qarnayn that existed in the Prophet's life does not mean it has no representation of a past story or character. My understanding is that Allah swt used His attributes (names) from the past stories and attributed to him (our beloved prophet) or manifested within Prophet Muhammad pbuh, and He used past incidents and created the reality of the Prophet's life. So, I think Zul Qarnayn is a historical character, but that the attributes of the character and the essence of the story are also manifested in Prophet Mumahhad's (pbuh) life. 2. My understanding of the Quran is that all Ayats in the Quran have two types of meaning - 1) Inner or invisible or spiritual or 2 dimensional or zikr and 2) Outer or visible or physical or 3 dimensional or fikr. Only Allah swt knows the actual inner meaning of the Ayats, we can assume but we may not know the exact inner meaning, but the outer or physical meaning is interpretable. A knowledgeable person whom Allah swt has guided can translate and interpret both the inner and outer meaning. Since the outer reality of the world evolves and changes, therefore the outer meaning or interpretation of Ayat can be evolved and changes in order to make sense of our 3-dimensional reality. But the inner meaning will never change. What I underwood that you are exploring and explaining the inner meaning of the quranic ayats and comparing it with the people who have used the outer meaning of the Quran. I do not think it is an appropriate way to compare with other scholars' understanding or interpretation of ayats. I also do not think it is an apple to apple comparison. However, you are right that most Islamic scholars do not read the Quran to understand, they learn from others, and they look for the meaning or interpretation in the Quran to explain what they already know. The Quran used a descriptive label, Zul Qarnayn, to refer to the primary character of this story in Surah Al-Kahf. We demonstrated that this man, in this story, is none other than our beloved (SAWS). Beyond that, the Quran did not make any reference to historical details that are relevant to us... In other words, what Allahh told us about this story is what matters, and what Allahh did not, is irrelevant to our understanding of the Quran. If some preachers, contemporary or past, want to please their ethnic or nationalistic or regional followers by making certain historic claims based on this story... Well, they are not justified, nor should they be allowed to get away with it! As to the layers of meanings of the Ayats... There are 8 layers, not just two, and we will discuss this in a future segment insha Allahh. And you are correct in stating that it would not be fair to compare one layer to others, claiming that one is superior or more valid... But this is not what we do. We object to the insistence of the majority of so-called scholars of today and the past, that the correct interpretation is exclusively based on the books of Tafseer that were initially penned during the third Hijri... That theirs is the only valid interpretation. We have elaborated in this Quran for the people every kind of example, but the human being is a most argumentative being. tafsir al-Quran bi-l-Quran (explaining the Quran through the Quran). Similarities between Dhul Qarnayn and Prophet Sulaiman alaihi . Here is the list of similarities between the two characters. 1️. Kingship Only two Prophets were mentioned as King in the Quran. Prophet Daud and Prophet Sulaiman Pbut. Dhul Qarnayn was a king. Qs 18:84. Surely We established him in the land and granted him means of access to everything. Prophet Sulaiman Pbuh was also a King. Qs 27: 16. And Sulaiman was Dawood's heir and he said: O men! we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given all things; most surely this is manifest grace. Qs.38:35. He said, “My Lord, forgive me, and grant me a kingdom never to be attained by anyone after me. You are the Giver.”. Qs.38:39. “This is Our gift; so give generously, or withhold; without account.”. 2. Both were blessed with many great things to help them accomplish their tasks that was to spread the word of god. Missionary and travelled far and wide. Dhul Qarnayn - Qs 18:85. So he followed a way, 89. Then he followed a way. 91.And so it was. We had full knowledge of what he had. 92.Then he followed a way. Prophet Sulaiman Pbuh - Qs 21:81. And (We made subservient) to Sulaiman the wind blowing violently, pursuing its course by his command to the lands which We had blessed, and We are knower of all things. Qs.34:12.And for Sulaiman the wind-its outward journey was one month, and its return journey was one month. 3. Prophethood. Dhul Qarnayn - Qs 18:86, 87 & 88. Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness." Until when he reached the place where the sun set, he found it going down into a black sea, and found by it a people. We said: O Dhul-Qarnayn! either give them a chastisement or do them a benefit. He said: As to him who is unjust, we will chastise him, then shall he be returned to his Lord, and He will chastise him with an exemplary chastisement: And as for him who believes and does good, he shall have goodly reward, and We will speak to him an easy word of Our command. He said, "As for one who wrongs, we will punish him. Then he will be returned to his Lord, and He will punish him with a terrible punishment. But as for one who believes and does righteousness, he will have a reward of Paradise, and we will speak to him from our command with ease." This verse has the same meaning as in surah Yunus in which Allah Subhanallah ta’ala mentioned as; Qs.10:47. Every community has a messenger. When their messenger has come, judgment will be passed between them with fairness, and they will not be wronged. When messengers reached a community, they preached Allah’s word and established law and order. Shariah law. Prophet Sulaiman Pbuh - Qs 21:78 & 79. And Dawood and Sulaiman when they gave judgment concerning the field when the people's sheep pastured therein by night, and We were bearers of witness to their judgment. So We made Sulaiman to understand it; and to each one We gave wisdom and knowledge; and We made the mountains, and the birds to celebrate Our praise with Dawood; and We were the doers. 4. Both were able to understand many languages. Polyglot or multi linguistics is an asset for travellers. Dhul Qarnayn Qs.18:93. Until when he reached (a place) between the two mountains, he found on that side of them a people who could hardly understand a word. *Qs.14:4. And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people to state clearly for them, and Allah sends astray [thereby] whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. Prophet Sulaiman Pbuh - Qs 27:16 And Sulaiman was Dawood's heir, and he said: O men! we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given all things; most surely this is manifest grace. 5. Metallurgy They were both given the technology to manipulate both iron and copper! Dhul Qarnayn - Qs 18:96 Bring me blocks of iron; until when he had filled up the space between the two mountain sides, he said: Blow, until when he had made it (as) fire, he said: Bring me molten copper which I may pour over it. Prophet Sulaiman pbuh - Qs 34:10, 11 & 12. And certainly We gave to Dawood (Sulaiman’s father) excellence from Us: O mountains! sing praises with him, and the birds; and We made the iron pliant to him, Saying: Make ample (coats of mail), and assign a time to the making of coats of mail and do good; surely I am Seeing what you do. And (We made) the wind (subservient) to Sulaiman, which made a month's journey in the morning and a month's journey in the evening, and We made a fountain of molten copper to flow out for him, and of the jinn there were those who worked before him by the command of his Lord; and whoever turned aside from Our command from among them, We made him taste of the punishment of burning. 6. And both refused to accept gifts. Dhul Qarnayn - Qs.18:95, They said: O Dhul Qarnayn! surely Gog and Magog make mischief in the land. Shall we then pay you a tribute on condition that you should raise a barrier between us and them Prophet Sulaiman Pbuh - Qs.27:36, So when he came to Sulaiman, he said: What! will you help me with wealth? But what Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Nay, you are exultant because of your present. Allah knows best. And May Allah guide us to his straight path.

Answers: 1) Who is asking the question (Who is they )? Allahh did not name them, which is a strong hint to us that they don't matter. It's also a hint that their knowledge or their assumptions are irrelevant. 2) Assuming it is the Sahaba (R.Am), did they not know who ZulQarneyn was? Why do you assume that they were Sahabas? It could have been people from other tribes or people who follow versions of prior scriptures, but assumed that their legends and myths were true. In other words, who cares who they were? 3)Where did the name come from in the first place? The term Qarn is clearly defined in the Quran. Qarnayn is "two". Per your methodology are we interpreting (يسئلونك) wrong? "They ask you", in the present tense, just as you are asking now! Think about this! 4) How can they not know the beloved? Who? The closest Sahabas knew that the one reciting the story is himself Zul Qarnayn. It's so obvious, linguistically, as we demonstrated in the end of the video. 5) If they knew, why did you say some of them did not know in Hudaybiyyah? Not all Sahabas were close enough to the prophet SAWS, and thus some of them objected, but others yielded unquestionably to the prophet's decision. Regards

There is one thing which I encountered in the Qur'an on surah Al waqiah, after watching your videos I don't even know what I'm reading or if I'm reading correctly. But what it was, when Allah talks about the 3 groups, as habul yameen, as habush shimaal and as sabiquun. He says 'thulatum minal awaleen, wa thulatum minal akhireen' for the as habul yameen. For sabiquun He says 'thulatum minal awaleen, wa qaleelum minal akhireen'...but when it comes to as habushimaal, He doesn't say anything to do with awaleen or akhireen'. I've thought 2 things about this. 1. Either the number of people going to hell is so scary that He Allah is staying quiet about it to not scare us. Or 2. No one's going to hell. Or 3. Some reason I just don't know, do you have any idea?
