I checked it out, and you are absolutely correct - I remembered "Emperor Palpatine" commenting on one of my other videos, so it was easy to track down the video in question. I'm flattered someone thought one of my videos was worth completely copying, but less so that they didn't do anything to improve or leave a note pointing to the original (something I really try to do when I draw source material from something someone else created)

Not exactly, but the offending video is 'gone', in a manner of speaking... for anyone interested, below are the (wordy) details on it so far as I've figured them out: Basically, once I confirmed it was indeed just a carbon copy of my video, I left a brief comment on the video and sent the user a concise but polite message asking him to not take credit for my work - I said was welcome to use it for other things, just not to directly copy the whole thing and say it was his. I didn't get a reply of any sort in the intervening time, but when I checked it a few minutes ago the copied video no longer shows up on his channel. Viewing it through the Google+ post a friend of mine had made with a link to it now shows the video as "private". So, I'm thinking he most likely changed the visibility from "public" to "private" rather than removing it outright - otherwise, I believe it should show up in either his video list or the original video link in the post. So, it's not technically gone, but it currently won't be showing up for anyone to view except those who the user in question shares the link with. Honestly I wouldn't mind it if he hadn't both directly copied it and claimed he made it entirely. At the very least, he could have tried to add to or improve my work and left a quick note pointing to my video as the source - it's what I try to do when I use someone else's material (even a mere idea) as part of anything I do, so I think it's only fair to expect the same of others as well. As to reporting people like this: because the video was basically all copyrighted material I don't own, I can't really claim copyright infringement or loss of any monetary income to officially report it. Still, the upload dates on each video at least make it very obvious which one was copied, so I'm hoping this won't be an issue again and I can get back to editing rather than worrying about people copying my stuff.
