Interesting build! Love how this one is not hindered by the Impcantation restriction and utilizes the extra deck more. I actually have some of the cards you mentioned here would be my changes for this build if to make for myself: 1x Manju, 1x Senju, 1x Sonic Bird-> 3x Manju 2x Ash -> 2x Droll 3x Dark Hole -> 3x Evenly 2x Execution of the Contract - > 2x Advanced Ritual Art 1x Pankratops or Levianeer -> 1x Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon The last 2 were my own changes as it's nice to have more ritual spells since Manju is the only real ritual spell searcher of the deck and tends to be the main Ash target. Chaos Dragon always combos off with Chaos Max well for going for the OTK. While Levianeer is nice I don't think this deck runs enough darks to fully maximize Levianeer's effects. I also think once Deep of Blue Eyes comes out it will make this deck even better and 1x or 2x copies of it can find it's way into this deck. But yea let me know what you think of these, would like to hear your thoughts.

Oh how I'd love to get my hands on a playset of Evenly Matched LOL 3 Manju was one of the main things I wanted to change! Having access to more consistent searching is very helpful! Can't always rely on my protagonist luck lmao I actually wanted to play a larger hand trap package! Having both Droll and Ash allows me to handle a very large majority of matchups from what I've tested! I can dream of getting Lightning Storm one of these days as well lol Having extra Ritual stuff is also nice! I'm actually thinking of experimenting with a Megalith engine! Quite a few of them are level 8! I could very easily drop Pankratops. Wouldn't wanna drop Levianeer simply due to it being searchable off of Melody! It's just too powerful and versatile a card! I do like your ideas though! Best of luck with your deck building!

@@mojo873 Hey thanks, you definitely got some good ideas too thinking outside the box haha. I have to agree that Levianeer is indeed too powerful haha, even in this deck you can still use it's light effect to go into rank 8 plays. I have to say though Levianeer is so broken in the Danger Blue Eyes Guardragon build that I've been testing out. Can keep recycling Levianeer with Seyfert haha. I want Lightning Storms too but way too much $$$ lol. I've always used the Impcantation engine along with the Zaborg combo but don't like not being able to use my extra deck and also Zaborg isn't searchable unless you run something like Thunder Dragonduo but that itself isn't searchable either. I for sure think this deck will be even better when Deep of Blue Eyes comes out as you basically get everything you need in one turn and it's graveyard effect is a bonus too lol.

Literally one of the first things I say is that Chaos MAX isn't a good deck lol But quite frankly, it doesn't matter if your deck is Tier 1 if you have like 12 cards in your main and side deck that hard counter meta decks. Rokket Dragon Link is top tier? That's true, but their board still ends on all darks usually, and they get destroyed by Super Poly and Nibiru, of which I'm running both. Backrow decks are a thing? Good thing I have like 6 - 8 cards I'm playing as answers to backrow. It doesn't matter what "Tier" my deck is. The only thing that matters is if I have answers to the decks I face. The biggest misconception in the community is that the strength of your deck is the biggest determining factor of who wins the match. And since I wanna take a moment to shill my local scene cuz they're the best, my region has a ton of players that regularly top WCQ and YCS events.

Interesting build although few question tho Why only 1 alternate? Are you using the dark banish from grave for levianeer more than the light or vice versa? Im not seeing enough deck dumping cards to benefit of levianeer so im confused as to why run it. Or how often you summon it. And no chaos dragon any reason why?

Alternative is a powerful card, but is not impactful enough to justify running multiple copies of it compared to something like Levianeer, especially when you have access to cards that can search it. Yes, you can dump dead copies with Trade In when you draw multiple, but there's just better targets for trade in more often than not, and I can't revive an Alternative if I pitch it off of Trade In. Overall, it's not worth running more than one, imo I mostly use the revival effect/ destruction effect with Levianeer as this is a go second deck! You don't always get to utilize its effects to maximum potential, but it's still a 3k body on board to either push damage or go into Rank 8 plays. I find it's not worth the resources you'd use to try and go out of your set to set up a single attack Chaos MAX otk when Chaos MAX + Rank 8 is typically 8k - 10k damage way more consistently and in way easier to set up situations. You'll take at least 3 cards to perform a ritual summon, and I'd rather 3 cards of resources go towards something more impactful than trying to set up an OTK I can probably already set up if I've Summoned Chaos MAX.

Complicated answer, tl;dr at bottom. A brick is defined as an "unplayable hand", which means you're not going to be able to advance your game state. Not being able to summon Chaos MAX on my first turn isn't a brick because my gameplan, while including Chaos MAX, doesn't *rely* on Chaos MAX. This deck runs 11 - 14 Starter cards depending on if you consider Trade In to be a starter card. It's a going second build, so you'll typically have 6 cards. With 11 starters, you have an 87% chance to open a starter card in a 6 card hand, and a 94% chance to open a starter card if you also include Trade In. If we assume my ideal version of the deck that also runs Phantazmay and Extravagance, the number jumps up even higher. The weakness of most Chaos MAX builds is that they devote too much of the deck to summoning Chaos MAX, which is a Ritual monster that's inherently an inconsistent summoning mechanic. The more consistent you make your deck at summoning Chaos MAX, the *less* consistent you make your deck overall. Tl;dr The deck is consistent, but you will not make Chaos MAX every game.

I don't like the restriction of being locked out of the extra deck! However, if you're not using an extra deck, then Impcantations are very good for Ritual Based strategies! Though the Megalith cards may actually be the next wave of Ritual support that takes off! I'm very interested in those cards!

I dont understand ths deck. Having run this deck. I dont comprehend the build. It seems so slow. The impcantations make this deck so much faster. Especially on a go second deck. The other chaos dragon ritual makes this deck one hitter quitter.

It makes the deck faster at summoning Chaos MAX, but less consistent overall! You don't want Chaos MAX to be your only win condition! From a card advantage standpoint, you need 3 cards to summon a Ritual monster at minimum! Chaos MAX + 3 extra cards is already OTK most of the time, so dedicating extra resources to trying to set up that combo is often not worth it! Impcantations lock you out of the extra deck! The benefit of this build is you have access to extremely powerful rank 8 monsters in addition to Chaos MAX!

@@mojo873 lol yeah nothing I seen in this build was expensive. You are simply building a deck for the long game. Power decks should be used for power. A glass cannon so to speak. By adding all these things you actually limit the amount things you deck can do because it does too much. I never had an issue with the extra deck. If I needed I used it. Why would anyone want to make extra deck plays after they dropped max on the field?

@@georgechapman3997 Depends on your definition of expensive! A lot of players consider $30 cards to be expensive. Chaos MAX, by itself, requires a very specific scenario to be able to OTK. It's much more consistent to OTK when you have actual removal supporting the damage you can put on board. Yes, the Creature Swap combo will allow you to OTK, provided you haven't gotten interrupted at all, but so will a Chaos MAX + Full Armour after destroying 4 cards on your opponent's field.

Assuming you don't open any cards, yeah. (Or happen to have the Called by the Grave) Let's say you open some variation of Manju, Melody, Sage, Trade In. Ash is a hard once per turn. Which card do you Ash? The normal summon is likely the most important, so say you Ash that. I use sage to turn it into a Blue-eyes. Or use Melody to search the Chaos MAX anyway. Or use Melody and then Trade In. Or use the other search cards before the normal summon. If a deck can't play through the most commonly played card in the game, then it's not going to be able to win any matches in a tournament environment, let alone win one.

KZbin's notification system is not very good lol The thing about me is that I won't be putting "BEST DECK IN THE FORMAT WIN EVERY YCS" in any of my videos (unless I do it, anyway) *because* my videos are unfiltered and honest. They are not scripted. They are very minimally edited. (Usually just putting multiple video clips next to each other) Because they are my recollections of my honest experiences playing this game. You will not see cherry picked replays or overly rehearsed test hands from me. You will see me make mistakes in my combos, and play with subpar hands. And while it's true that I'm not going to upload a deck profile if the deck performed poorly, if I upload a deck profile saying that I went 5-0 at a tournament, it's going to be because I took that list to a tournament and went 5-0. It's as simple as that.

@@hyruler457 While I don't want to diminish your accomplishment, I want to point out that your deck is not playing in an OTS sanctioned environment where you're playing against the top meta decks. By nature of the tournament being a high school tournament, there's a very large pool of high level competition that cannot enter said tournament. It would be the equivalent of winning a tournament where Yugi and Kaiba literally aren't allowed to enter the tournament. While this isn't to say I've got Jesse Kotton at my locals, my local scene is primarily made up of players that have topped multiple WCQ/YCS level events over the years.
