And the best thing about that endboard which they didnt mention is that spheremode/dark ruler doesnt even break it, because thanks to the whole megalith hand you can actually fumble your way into summoning Black Chaos Max without any of the monsterss negated by DRNM or tributed by Spheremode, so even if they have the "out", you got that backup Azathot, which is just crazy. Also an entire megalith core costs less than the shipping itself.

Well have you seen the finals? It was pretty horrible. The one who goes first plays solitaire for 2-3 minutes and the one going second surrenders. There is barely any interaction in this game anymore. Link summoning, especially link summoned searchers broke the game. I love the cards design, I like how old decks get updated but link summoning is just stupid.

Yep, a lot of people gave it the cold shoulder from its start simply because it is a Ritual deck and the general consensus is Ritual = Bad... but the general consensus is just wrong and individually given without trying or achieving to make a good Ritual Deck. Anyone who has played Megalith even without using Block Dragon or Halqifibrax/Linkross combo would know it is still a fairly good deck and can be a resilient engine if it isn't killed off by handtraps first off.

@@melvinbrookins6313 Ohhh definitely it is better with Block Dragon and even more with Halqi (every deck is tbt, hence why they run it and why it should be banned). In my case I played it before Phul was released and without Block Dragon and it was extremely casual, but a good casual nonetheless. Then I added both of those in and that I feel its definitely good enough for a locals level if piloted good. I've tried it without Block Dragon and it works well still. I feel they could later down the line receive something to substitute for Block Dragon (in my case all I care its the protection it adds) but not as busted 🤔

you can side out manju/senju for ra sphere mode and gamma+driver for other useful stuff. going second you dont need the chaos ritual. also you can side out 1 foolish going second, as you dont want to open 2. and if you side out your nirmal summons, you dont need the cyber angel. thats is what i would do.

Other cards like Rhongo and Azathot have gotten banned because they became too much of an issue. So likely if those I mentioned continue to do so, they will get the boot too. I don't see hot red dragon Calamaties or Black Chaos MAX getting banned as they are both hard to make and literally Megalith is the only deck to make both, while Megalith is the only to make MAX on the opponent's turn.

@@murphmuffin9069 I mean he isn't trying to go 2nd from what I've seen & as far as my knowledge from playing Megalith myself (not with Halq/Linkross combo tho) the deck does not do FTK, henceforth ending it in one turn is impossible. If you mean to OTK than ok thats fair, but any Megalith deck (with or without Halq/Linkross combo) can achieve that if uninterrupted and the trap helps for that as it means 1 monster is brought out from GY to field on opponents turn and one on yours (in Defense Position). In any other build, given this runs Extra-Foolish Burial, those two monsters are perfect for tribute fodder or if you get Och to Ritual Summon in opponents turn. It helps fuel the deck in all builds that would not opt for EFB instead.

The LV4s can summon any ritual. Och can ritual summon as a quickie using himself and other monsters, if needed, as tribute. You end turn with Och on the field, MAX in hand, and 4+ more levels available except from LV8s because rules. You summon MAX during the opponent's main phase before that start playing monsters and tribute something, usually himself, to stop them from activating monsters.

When Phul is summoned, it recovers a Ritual from GY to hand, then copies the level of the monster you recovered. It's Dueling Book, so he didn't go through the extra effort of editing the level.

The deck locks you outta the game on turn one, you dont even get to play those if your opponent starts first. and if you start first you just play your combo and lock him outta playing stuff. As with most topdecks you either stop combos with hand traps or you lose before you can even start to play. The finals looked like 2 people playing solitaire....
