Some other cards to consider with making combos slightly easier is DDD Berfomet, only as a one-of though. It's helped me out immensely when I don't have easy access to Swamp King or Necro Slime as a second fusion. Just modulate anothers level to 6!

The one car combo burning through resources at a higher rate is a BEAUTIFUL built in balance system. Knowing konami, they did it by mistake, since they clearly hate the idea of balance. There needs to be more cost for powerful plays, in general.
@DifferentDimensionDreamerАй бұрын
perfectly sums it up why our archetype is not considered powerful. Because we are too balanced like swordsoul. But that‘s exactly why I like it so much as well! Our one card feels like we let our monsters work overtime with a big cost on your resources lmao

After watching the first part I'm completely locked in and super excited for the rest of these videos! I do have a question though, which you may end up answering in a later video anyway; How do you decide which monsters to use as your scales? Is it always the same ones depending on board state?
@DifferentDimensionDreamer4 ай бұрын
Excellent question! You have a keen eye for the things that matter the most for this deck :D briefly put, it always depends on the use case. We have different scales depending on what we want to do! First turn board scales differ a lot from the boardbreaker scales imo. And in this and the next videos i will show you some of the other scales and their applications :)
@Bristow90914 ай бұрын
@@DifferentDimensionDreamer ooh nice, looking forward to them! I think scales is what I find most confusing about pendulum decks because it's not just picking the right numbers, but also effects too.
@DifferentDimensionDreamer4 ай бұрын
@@Bristow9091i totally get what you mean! But that‘s the toolbox characteristic of D/D/D I was talking about in my previous video :D since we have so many pendulum monsters that we can scale with gilga and each of them have unique effects, the ways u can lay out your pends against your match up are sheer endless.

7:24 when you have a similar hand with ragna you can you should you must always foolish swirl forcing your opponent to interact early and if they don't they might get punished. foolish swirl if they dd crow or bystial that's one card less in opponents hand, if they don't banish as cost to special from hand they can't do anything about it special rage then declare rage you don't have to say which effect you'll use as you chose it at the resolution and opponent has to respond or they'll get cooked so you can also bait the with this one which make 2 card less in opponent's hand and at worst case you can rage into machinex and suck twice witch the contract. you can also link to go into gilga to scale and if they respond once again it makes 3 cards less with 2 cards remaining and once again you can go into machinex and they'll have to deal with it with 2 cards in hand.
@DifferentDimensionDreamer2 ай бұрын
The ragna line is a great point and the way you play to bait out the interactions is super interesting and different, since I tend to be very aggressive and greedy with my plays. Imo it is dependent on the match-up, if you already know what your opponent is playing you can adjust your playstyle according. For example, if I know that my opponent runs a deck with a big engine like runick white woods and i go first, I get more greedy and try to make the strongest board possible (in that case usually with bright arma). If I know that the opponent is on snake eye or salad with huge non-engine, your playstyle becomes way more preferable

is there a build where you use D/D ghost to effectively recycle some of your combos from the banishment or as an extra foolish? is it even worth running?
@DifferentDimensionDreamer4 ай бұрын
Good question. It only has very niche utility and would brick up the deck even more, since we have over 5 soft garnets already. It enables lines were you can go into siegfried with genghis, which is pretty cool, but aside from that it doesn’t boost much sadly. The deck rarely comes into a position where you have to recycle something from banishment, since you don‘t want to get into a nasty grindgame with your opponent. Generally you want to win as fast as possible, since our gas is limited up to the 4th or 5th turn i would say. That‘s why I wouldn‘t play it.

@@DifferentDimensionDreamer Makes sense. Thanks for explaining!
@DifferentDimensionDreamer4 ай бұрын
@@koletopham9280no problem :) but as always my opinion only stems from my experience and the general consensus. The best thing about this deck is that you can basically build it in a way so that it suits your playstyle the best. So if you find a way to play ghost, do it and try it out! The last video in this series, which I‘m currently scripting, addresses the deckbuilding theory behind this deck too :D

This came just in time when I was planning to make a DDD!! So far, what I got was: Best start is Kepler to Gate to Gryphon to Gilgamesh Only normal summon Coper if already having Gryphon in hand Most times will set Orthos as a pendulum scale Right?

exactly! For our standard board you either have coper already in hand OR you can search him with gate. Afterwards go into Gilga with Gryphon and set orthros ans Ragna as scales!
