Check Dark Marik's duel with Atem he literally defeated Atem, he was going all out even attempting to replenish life points. That duel was the most challenging battle city duel atem faced.

I think we can all agree, this was the most INTENSE season of the entire series. Every time there a new duel, their lives were LITERALLY at stake. It made every duel feel special. Plus, Yami/Atem’s road to redemtion after loosing Yugi is one of the best stories I’ve ever seen in an anime.

Best season of Yugioh by far. I wish they made this the final season since Dartz was both so powerful and was a great villain. Having the Leviathan as the last obstacle to overcome would’ve made more sense just because of the stakes and because it has traced the furthest back historically. I honestly didn’t like Zorc and Bakura being the final antagonist and may not have even had them as villains in the show. I personally would’ve made the Seal, Dartz and the Leviathan the root of this season’s causes along with them being the reason for the existence of the shadow realm instead.

Koochie I just really didn’t feel as if Bakura and Zorc were intimidating. I thought that intertwining and interconnecting the fall of Atlantis and Egypt’s demise would have been cool and just linked to one source. I didn’t like the design of Zorc either. I would have made the creator of light and leviathan be the final battle of yugioh. Having Dartz, the seal, and Leviathan being the climax would have been a perfect example and display of the world. It’s more realistic. After Dartz I favor even favor Marik as being the next best villain I just thought Bakura at most maybe should have had a mini ark to him. I would’ve probably replaced the Cyberworld ark with Bakura at most and have made him be a cause of something else that was more minor. So in order it would’ve been Duelist Kingdom, same set up as they had before with Battle City but having a Bakura filler instead of cyberspace, and then finishing off with waking the dragons. Season 4’s duels were so serious and I loved how Kaiba and Joey had even more of a role which was cool. Raphael was a highlight for me too I thought he was great. Atem’s breakdown was a heart wrenching scene but fantastic since it resulted in the show having to be even more concentrated on him. Then of course with the 2 vs 1 duel with Dartz at the end was fantastic. The fact that it had to take Atem, Kaiba, the three legendary dragons/knights, and having to even make a new card to beat Dartz showed how bad the threat was. Would you agree that you at least liked Season 4 over 5 overall taking in consideration all of this? Remember I’m talking about the whole season overall, not just when Bakura and Zorc really started coming in.

Yeah it was kinda bullshit how dartz lost dartz has by far the coolest deck but its not like its the most powerful deck out there there are quite a few real yugioh decks that can beat it like if dartz's deck was real and it had all the anime effects it honestly wouldnt be that broken honestly now the mirror knights yes there to broken. But there are so many ways around dartz's cards its not even funny.

I would love if the next Yugioh series would be back to the original crew as I don't like the childish and more 'colourful' Yugioh these days. I do know about the movie that will return the BEST Yugioh characters to a more modern screen and I think thats great! Hopefully that will lead Konami to want the original crew back as they're what must people know Yugioh as. Its worked for Pokemon and Dragon Ball as they've kept the same protagonist for many years and are still very popular. What do you guys think?

I think the same, it would be awesome if somehow they return the early crew without messing up everything that already happened. It would be awesome to see a serie with all main protagonists(is something different), I don’t like everything after GX but it would be awesome to see all “master minds” working together, with some time travel as excuse I guess.

Honestly, I'd love it if we could get a new series that follows the original crew again, but now in their adult years (say, mid-to-late twenties or so). It'd be awesome to see them having adventures as fully matured people. Could even use that as a means to make the show a bit darker than the typical Yu-Gi-Oh style; basically take the tone of this entire season and make it into a complete series. Plus, it would also be cool to see what became of them; like, What did Yugi decide to do after DSOD? Did Joey make it as a professional duelist? (and did he ever reunite with Mai?) Did Kaiba win his duel against Atem at the end of DSOD? Did Tea achieve her dream of becoming a dancer? Did Tristan actually get with Serenity? (xD) What of Mokuba? And Duke, and Rebecca, and Marik and Ishizu? So much potential there.
