He's right though. Even though Syrus fell for the trap, having Negate Attack removed is the better play. If Syrus used Patroid's ability, revealed the card, Jaden would deliberately let Patroid's attack go through and wait for a better time to use it, essentially hiding behind a wall that Syrus would have to try to work around. But that's not the big thing. Avian's not that powerful of a card on its own without its support. Having it destroyed wouldn't have set Jaden back that far. He was still trying to teach Syrus that you have to be wary of the backline. You never know what they've hidden.

Well no it wasn't a good move (not checking the card that is, it's a good thing that he attacked), the point is that he could've used an effect and didn't, what if it wasn't negate attack and was some other card? Syrus didn't willingly not use the effect he most likely was too stressed and didn't do it. Also why would Jaden hold off Negate Attack? Revealing it doesn't change anything. It doesn't make Patroid any less or more of a good target.

Which is basically like using Power Bond, but without any drawback. And Cyrus actually would've won the duel had he used Power Bond and then Limiter Removal because that would've given his monster 8800 ATK points. More than enough to wipe out Jadens life points with one attack.

You're wrong about one thing: Limiter Removal DOES have a drawback to it. It destroys your machine-type monster at the end phase. And also with Jaden usually being the one to get out of any tough situation, probably would've found some way around it. Like if he used Negate Attack to block the attack, that would've forced Syrus to take the damage because of Power Bond's adverse effect.

Syrus could have also set Limiter Removal facedown after Patroid's failed attack. Sure, the attack failed, but Jaiden's trap is gone. Jaden summons Sparkman and attacks, and then Syrus activates Limiter Removal, doubling Patroid's attack. Sparkman would have been destroyed, and Jaden would have taken the difference. And while Patroid is gone at the end of the turn, that's fine. Jaden lost a decently strong monster, and with his fusion card, he'd just need to activate Power Bond and attack. Ge had the tools to win. But he lacked the self confidence or planning to do it. Poor Syrus.

Instead of a tag duel, i would have forced Jaden and Syrus to duel each other. Loser gets permanently expelled! If Jaden wins, he has to constantly remind himself that Syrus is gone because of him and if he loses? He gets expelled. As for Syrus?...well he's just a side piece. If i wanna make Jaden suffer than instead of a fighting chance i make him lose either way! Yeah, Zane is opposite to Atticus, the older brother of Alexis, as Atticus actually took his time to teaches Alexis how to plays the duel card, allowing her become a great duelist, as he encouraged her and truly helps her. Unlike Zane, who instead to supports and help Syrus, he simply limited to points the mistakes and critizes the flaws of Syrus, leading him to have self-confidence issues with his own skills as duelist.

Yeah, he should be like Atticus, the older brother of Alexis, whom actually took the time to teaches her as plays in the duel card, allowing Alexis become a great duelist, as Atticus encouraged her and truly helped her. Unlike Zane, whom instead to tries help Syrus to get better, he was only critizing any flaw and mistake that he commits, destroying his confidence as duelist.

Yeah. Even if you analyses it, you can note that Zane was opposite to Atticus, in terms about how they treated their younger siblings. In the case of Zane, he was practically pointing any mistake and critizing any flaw that Syrus showed as duelist, but he only limited to this, than do more to support and help Syrus to get better, leading to that the poor Syrus developed self-confidence issues. In the case of Atticus, he took his time to teaches, mentored, encourage and support his younger sister Alexis about how to plays duel cards, allowing her become a great duelist.

Multiple times Cyrus is reminded to be careful attacking when your opponent has a facedown. Yet at the end Jaden tells Cyrus “Why didn’t you use Powerbond you would have won” when he had a facedown trap card set (Which was ‘A Hero Emerges’ as shown by his hand earlier)
