whats cool about this deck having so many virus cards is because you can use the field spell's effect to tribute your opponents monsters to activate the viruses instead of your own, which on its own is pretty cool

Allure is always a good reprint they get pricy even as commons. Foolish Burial Goods is also a really nice reprint. I picked it up because I'm getting back in the game as it's been like 5 years. I still have the infernoid deck core and can't wait to try out that variant.

I tested the deck yesterday and it works pretty well even without any alterations.

Going to combine this with the new Demise/Ruin support. Since ritual summoning counts as tributing you can trigger diabolos effect easily. Was also thinking of having some fun and combining this with The Fang Of Critias+Mirror Force Dragon, since Lilith can easily search any normal trap card. Should be a fun for some memes. Too bad the stores here are super slow about getting Yugioh product, I'll probably have to wait till May sometime to pick up 3 copies of it.

Leon Tate you can't tribute your opponent's monsters for rituals with lair of darkness. You can only use tribute their monsters for cost. Ritual summons don't pay cost, so you can't.

I know you can't use your opponents monsters for ritual summoning, but it still triggers diabolos effect and lair of darkness effect giving you tokens.

Go Felgrand hybrid, Paladin can equip and tribute opponent's monsters as well as himself; possibly bringing out both Felgrand and Diabolos! :D

i think i'm gonna combine the archetype with the new vampires on ygopro_vs_links, also gonna try it out with darklords but not gonna do it by a whole lot. the new vampires can make about 3 normal summons in one turn and not just vampire sucker could give you the option to tribute-summon, but also lair of darkness now?! with the passive tokens on the field the extra deck would also be more relevant for the vampire part in the deck, diabolos also fits the new vampire archetype in huge terms by also focussing on the enemys monsters! eather stealing, tributing or destroying monsters directly from the deck is an enormous plus, when it comes to implementing other cards that fit the archetype :D though i still think that infernoids would fit the diabolos archetype best, simply because of the tokens. i also really hope that those new mummy cards come out, with thair 3marker-linkmonster, which makes use of traps and gets buffed by having other monsters around, like decode talker but with 600ATK instead of 500ATK ^.^

Yes, if he's in your hand you get to summon him immediately even if he wasn't there when you tributed

If you tribute one of your monsters that ISN'T Ahrima, you can summon Diabolos the instant it's added to the hand. Unfortunately, Diabolos has a stipulation that it can only be special summoned via tribute if it's one of your own monsters. That's why it's very good to have various trap cards that'll let you tribute what you have, like Ballista Squad, Painful Escape, and Virus cards. There are also useful spells that can help, like Mystik Wok, Enemy Controller, Share the Pain, and Mini-Guts.

I don't know if you're still looking for an answer on this, but Lair only lets you tribute one enemy monster, full stop. So, Duke Shade's only able to tribute one enemy monster in addition to whatever else you have. Still makes for one hell of a beat stick if you have a glut of tokens on the field, but personally, I find the space much better used by the four Lament Ladies currently out now, and some Labrynth cards. Labrynth has very good synergy with Lair.
