You could play it at two as well. I play it at two in case the first gets banished and because having it in hand with soul servant is nice. Definately never three.

Just a quick note; at 5:50 I say Magicalized summons any Fusion, but it doesn't summon Dark Magician the Dragon Knight, obviously. ;)

@@cenalexis7896 I haven't looked into it yet, but on paper it has some interesting interactions. Unfortunately the engine conflicts with setting up Dragoon.

I understand your reasoning for Circles at 1, because there's hardly any other cards, but what about the eternal soul+circle dark magician banish "loop": where you get to banish every turn something? I understand dragoon has 2 non-target pops and a neg and this deck is centered around making dragoon very consistently, but is the circle-banish just not that worth it? (thank you, I'm fairly new to YGO)

@@moechano Honestly, setting up the Circle-Soul interruption is fine if you can do it, but is not essential. Eternal Soul on its own has the merit that is allows you to recycle Rod, and from there on you can search Circle turn 3, but your priority on turn 1 is setting up Dragoon.

This is super close to the build that I run. Girsu is a new tech to me. That's dope. I think my only, super nitpicky change would be to drop 1 Eternal Soul for another copy of Preparation of Rites. Especially while only running 2 copies of Rod. Super good build though.

That's correct, he has to be summoned correctly first. I believe in the video he was referring to being able to bring him back from the graveyard with eternal soul. He probably assumed that we were aware he properly summoned it correctly.
