Ai's story is really sad. He just wanted to have fun then gets attacked by humans and sacrafices himself to seal cyberse world away. Then he gets captured by Yusaku and easily bonds with him, to which Yusaku keeps telling him to shut the f up. Ai is then given the choice to side with humans or Ai to decide who gets to rule over the other. Then Earth is killed and he begins slightly hating humans for doing it. Then he has to know about Flame and Aqua dying along with the other two ignis who yes were enemies but they were also his kin and friends. Then he himself has to watch them all become one with bohman and witness them die again. Then as he is set free he meets a hologram of Lightning and sees simulations of the future which would all lead to Yusaku's death in trying to protect Ai. He then makes himself the villain because if he is then he knows Yusaku and the others will try to stop him (while also getting revenge on that queen bitch). Then he dies in the arms of his best friend. Truly a sad story

I know it's so good!!! I remember I was so excited when I first saw it. I was like OMG Aoi is going to learn Yusaku is Playmaker (it felt hinted to me) and why is Ai suddenly a villain? And have a human form? I included early that it for the most part an act (him being a villain because he wanted to die).

0:28 - Yusaku who was looking down (to the reality of how the world wasn't as nice as to allow humans and A.I to coexist) begins looking up (to the ideal of a future where everyone can be happy) after living through everything he did. 0:38 - Ai who began as someone looking up to the ideal (that was possible to coexist) eventually looks down, and settles with the reality that he would never be allowed to live with humans after the deaths of his friends and Lightning's simulation. This is so suttle but so beautiful

Reminds me of a Naruto ending where Naruto starts off looking down (Because he was alone and wanted revenge to everyone who didn't care about him) but began looking up (To the ideal of becoming known by everyone as the Hokage. Sasuke who was looking up (To the idea that he had friends who liked him) started looking down (Going down the dark path of vengeance against Itachi).

​@@daneyal7162 I know. So much more I wonder. And I had my own theories with some of it. Especially with Ai getting everyone to hate him so they wouldn't hold back to terminate him. And he feared Yusaku would die with his existence. I think he loved Yusaku as if he were his family. And to me I had other reasons he spared Aoi/Blue Maiden in the duel since it was all an act to get her to hate him. Not just for her to understand his feelings on what happened when he failed to protect someone or because of Pandor. I think it's more subtly implied he cared for her and couldn't 'erase' her. Not just saying this because of I'm a Yusaku/Aoi shipper...but it was shown that Yusaku does care for her more than he wants to show or admit. Yusaku cares for her as a friend. He didn't take it well both when Specter won and held her data....or when Bohman won. (I mean Yusaku and Ai immediately challenge Bohman to a duel as soon as he appears in front of them. This is after he just won his duel with Blue Maiden to warn him. Why? I think they were wanted to get the data back from him. It was never addressed since Bohman declined) Ai was there during both and I don't think he wanted to hurt Yusaku in that way again. They also never addressed more with GO...like they didn't fully explain on how he came back to normal so fast. I mean logically the chip was removed....was it because of Akira?

I mean I know it's not a romance series...but i wished they explored a little more on Yusaku and Aoi's relationship. As to me it's implied Aoi was developing feelings for him as both Yusaku and Playmaker before learning the same person. Just look at the way she treats Yusaku....she was not use to someone that wasn't using her and just cared for her without wanting anything in return. Yusaku was the first to really do that besides her brother and Miyu...(later on Emma)...and just the way she treats him affectionately at school and when she visits him at the hot dog truck. Even blushing and had once stated, "I came because you were nearby." And with Playmaker....she was getting to see more the real Yusaku that he was trying to hide in the real world. Aoi got to see his heroic side...someone that went from revenge to care about others....and learning that he went through the lost incident. Aoi felt sorry for him. It's noted that Yusaku never lashes out at her when she feels sorry for him unlike with everyone else (besides Kusanagi and Takeru). As he hates it when others act that way towards him or when he thank him. Notice with Akira. I mean hint of a crush on Playmaker...she was watching a video on repeat of him against his duel with Bohman. It's clear she watched it already....but Hayami for example addressed early on in season 1. She watched Akira's heroic actions over and over again. And we know she has a big crush on him....played hilarious as Akira is oblivious and doesn't understand why she would? Not another point is that she wanted to talk with Playmaker...but didn't know how to get in touch with him. She acts Naoki Shima....? Why do that when she had Emma. But it was clearly more personal to her and she may have felt embarrassed to ask her big sister figure. Mean she does state why she couldn't ask Akira because she wanted to stop Playmaker because it was against Ai. Naoki was the best she knew that had a connection to him as far as she was concerned....I know that it doesn't mean much but I found that interesting... And the conversation with Yusaku once she learns he's Playmaker....she trying to tell him she doesn't have to fight because she doesn't want to see him go through that pain...the only person to really ask him how he feels about the whole ordeal with Ai and fighting his friend. Aoi starts acting all shy as she asks to shake hands (which ends up being a hand hold) and she blushes while staring at it. Saying it felt strange. As she doesn't have much social skills...I don't think she quite understands her affection she's growing for Yusaku...and despite the fact she asked him not to join the fight...she was very happy to see Playmaker... There are some moments Yusaku had with Aoi on his end even though he was celibate hero....this was to me because of his lack of social skills and not wanting friends. As he viewed all these as weakness and wanted revenge. The first time we really see Yusaku's kinder side is because of Aoi...he wanted to end the duel quickly and was concerned for her because of the Hanoi card. He blamed himself completely because of the virus and wanted to take responsibility and save her. This was someone who was obsessed with revenge...but that wasn't even his real focus on his first duel against Revolver. And the first thing he asked Kusanagi...was to ask if Aoi was alright. It was sweet. It's those moments that made you love him as a character....Yusaku (besides Kusanagi and Takeru)...he always yells when someone shows sympathy for him or shows him thanks. Such as how he always snaps at Akira. However, with Aoi. He never does. She had shown sympathy for him when she overhears about what Playmaker went through...and is one of the few he even allows to thank him for what he's done. Yusaku also has shown to be bothered when Specter and Bohman had 'erased' Blue Angel/Blue Maiden....to the point they want to duel them....I mean the fact the first thing they do when Bohman comes to warn them. Playmaker and Ai challenge him to a duel...I really think with the intent to get their data back....too bad it was declined. As I think that could have been explored a bit more. Bohman was learning human emotion...so I wondered if say he asked them why defeating Blue Maiden and the water ignis would bother them so much? I would love to vision their reactions...naturally concerned for their friends and want them back but still... These are just my own theories..

Yup. Since looking in high directions means something like hoping for something or wishing something, that means yusaku was thinking about some ideal or wishing tgat something could come True (maybe the ideal of Humaninty and IAs coexisting). In other hand: Looking down means that something heavy has falled on someones head, but in a realization context, and this heigh in conciouness makes The person look down about almost everything. AI, in this arc just realizei that humans and IAs can't be equals, since the humanity can't trust them, so, he just can't look up for some utopic world like that anymore, that's his realization that makes him look down to front from looking the sky. It's like he's saying: i Thought that world could come True, but i understand now and now i kwon this is imposible, so, let's go and look ahead for humaninty destruction before me and my frienda die

I do like Vrains' last arc, but I feel like that since arc v the quality of the animations and the drawings kind of got down, I just compared 5ds/zexal's animations and ops with a arc V and Vrains',the formers are just better when it comes to art style and fluidity. Sevens isn't overall bad. Romin is my favorite and the most awesome. As she won majority of her duels that includes against the male lead Yuga...who wasn't holding back or anything against her. Luke is the MAIN reason I am so happy for Sevens to be ending. But yes, compared to VRAINS it's pitiful. Zexal was way worse to me than Sevens.

Its a cool concept but also childish and yes i haven't seen more than 10 episodes but overall i would have prefered more like the other series. For example the first was all about millenium artifacts and god cards along with ancient egypt time. Gx was about Duel monsters being used for evil and also spirits. 5ds was about a war between dragons and earthbounds which later became about the future disaster with meklords. Zexal was about the number cards and then went from just collecting a bunch of cards that corrupted to a "war" between humans and barians. Arc-V was about dimensions and 4 counterparts of 2 people, along with an interdimensional war. Vrains was about AI getting free will and how they would eventually realize they didn't need humans anymore and discard them, and also about an entire kidnapping case that was covered up. Idk what the current plot of sevens is but from what i've seen its FAR from these brilliant concepts
